@TheDOSUser hey do u noe or have a sound device or software. mines giving me the code 10 thingy. i have the same dell from this video. i took the pc down to factory settings and lost the sound but its saying in device manager that i have the program and it is running but in sound & speech via control panel it says no audio device . i tryied realtek, dat don't work. i tryied uninstall and reinstall. all methods failed. i also tryied sigmatel.
I would like to install Photoshop Elements 9 into this laptop. I have an Intel Core duo processor T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32-bit Windows 7 operating system, ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 graphics. Will it work properly?
I have one. Great computer. I have the 9400 model with a 160gb hdd, 2gb ram, 1.6ghz t5400 processor, a 256mb ATI Radeon x1400, and Windows Vista Premium. By today standards it is a little underpowered, but when I got it in March of '07 it was top-of-the-line.
The regular price for it was about $1650 and I got a deal for about $1100.
Now you can get a better computer for about half the price. It is amazing how cheap and powerful they have gotten these days.
Well apparently, when I ordered my computer, Dell did not send me any of the drivers or software, it was just pre-installed on my system. Thereoff, If I installed Vista Home Premium, I wouldn't launch Media Center with the MediaDirect button, neither would I have the Dell Media Direct. But anyways, my screen wobbles and pitches to twice the thicknes of the screen, I'll probably give Dell a call soon.
Well Actually I have all the drivers, Quickset, Audigy Sound blaster HD on my Dell account, I just have to pay for the Dell MediaDirect which will take about a hundred dollars off of me. I mean everything is okay and all, I mean I can fix the hardware myself and all, but I need like a hinge replacement the most!
Last night I tried to fix it. The original screw didn't fit anymore ... odd. I think a piece within may have fallen off without me noticing. So I found an extra screw, a bit bigger, around the house and it's holding it well so far. =)
This laptop I had it and I want to destroy it it's terrible! Slow as he'll!!!!!

I know right?! But is your screen starting to wobble yet? oh well. I'm afraid of upgrading to vista, because I don't wanna lose Dell Media Direct.
banstaman 4 years ago
No, my screen doesn't wobble. And what do you mean lose Media Direct?
It comes with a disc for reinstallation. You just format, then install media direct, then install the OS.

you can probably find the iso on the internet and then burn it to a disc.

Or, you can do Dell Restore, which is a much easier way to reformat.

Mine sure does. Bought it in June, then two months ago, it's wobble mania. =/
