My umbrella cockatoos feathers arent clipped. I taught her to fly she doesnt fly on her own unless she gets scared but she will fly from my hand...You could always get a leash for your bird if you dont want to clip. thats what ive been wanting to do
@Nando111982 I do clip his flight feathers, and he's also never learned to fly. He has a great time on the ground and also perched in some low trees where it's easy for me to reach him, no matter how high he climbs.
Obviously the clipping the fight feathers is controversial, but everyone has different feelings on it. I'm on the clip side.

Do you clip his flight feathers? Just curious cause I want to start letting mine go out this coming summer and she has all her flight feathers.
