On another note, for those who think American soldiers are facist murders, well you can go to hell. No army is perfect, we see the US get slagged alot, but what about WWII axis powers or present dictatorships? And if it wasn't for the US Army, I wouldn't be alive, my mother would have drowned and my father hacked to boody pieces. It always gets to me when people insult Americans.
I was a solder once, and young, this is great! Thanks for putting it together, it's about the solders, the privates just trying to survive day to day. I think that America stands for freedom, that's what you fought against our empire for (I'm a Brit), and that's why the powerful and influential send the young men and women to preserve that freedom for the world. America, in it's original essence, is still, in my opinion, a beacon for hope and a symbol of freedom, regardless of the negativity.

I watched my uncle die of liver disease as he drank himself to death from what happened in The Nam. I spoke to the men in the VA who were there for some of the same reason. I know men and women who have come back from every war, and I have seen how it has changed them. We, who have not fought, will never know the hell that they have been through, or the losses they have experienced. But we can all hope that one day, those experiences and losses need never happen again.

On another note, for those who think American soldiers are facist murders, well you can go to hell. No army is perfect, we see the US get slagged alot, but what about WWII axis powers or present dictatorships? I think that America stands for freedom, that's what you fought against our empire for (I'm a Brit), and that's why the powerful and influential send the young men and women to preserve that freedom for the world. Without powerful nations like Britain and America, the Middle East would be full of evil and oppressive dictatorships, not dissimilar to Hitler. I watched my uncle die of liver disease as he drank himself to death from what happened in The Nam. I spoke to the men in the VA who were there for some of the same reason. I know men and women who have come back from every war, and I have seen how it has changed them. We, who have not fought, will never know the hell that they have been through, or the losses they have experienced. But we can all hope that one day, those experiences and losses need never happen again.

Heh, I remember my friend said that he wanted this song played if he didn't make it back with me from Afghanistan. We were both in the 1st Div. I remember those days, I regret joining but proud to do it. I remember that day. Mortars were dropping down on us. My friend got hit. His leg was blown off, I carried him all the way back to the L.Z. He said he owed me his life because of that day, but I'd always laugh because in truth, he kept my sanity in check from those two hellish years

@InsaneDrummer199 i am so sorry to hear that you lost your mate,my husband is in afghan atm and has been shot i'm just waiting to hear how bad he is and if he is ok.I do not know what you's go thru but i do respect and support all that are serving and their families,my hole family is military nam,ww2 and ireland i have lost my grandfather to war and now facing loosing my husband but he wanted to make this place better for us and thats what his doing,thanx to all that support and my condolences
