@aceone1988 I don't think anyone really buys them in North America except rock hounds cause I have never seen them in a jewelry store or piece of jewelry. I think its because they are new to the market and are recognized as an inferior opal. I got a hunk the size of my thumb like that one in Arizona for 20$. Its so pretty for so cheap lol :)
@XXXGreenSamurai Large jewelry chains only have fake opal in thier jewelry. I don't think there is any problem putting this opal into a setting. You can get it wet and it drys out after and no worries about cracks. I have a Wello opal bead necklace I wear in the shower and I never have any problems with cracking. This opal doesn't seem to craze under lights like some Australian opal does.
i got hep of them my uncle owns the mines there but i dont know who or where to sell them to.
