I didn't say they should care or that the reason they sound different is because of new music. I'm sure they did it because they wanted to, I'm just saying that recent creative decisions have been being a little less out there than their older stuff.

MSI demos are usually Jimmy creating a rough cut/blueprint/skeleton of a song in whatever music program he uses and then he records his vocals using a computer mic or whatever.

For two reasons.

1. Because people like xxmychemicalgirlxx and the other couple thousand of 14 year old and less wannabe emo/scene/faux punx girls suddenly listened to a "cool underground band", and so they spread it like wildfire on myspace and whatnot, trying to show people how cool they are. Marketing seeing the demographic of the kids rushing to Hot Topic and therefore, the music changes to lure more of these people in.

2. They're mocking these people for that exact reason above.
