Weak result the only game when 4890 are weaker then GTX295 is Crysis and the only game where you need so much power is actually that game so 4890s are not so good for Crysis they rock for anything else tbh.
Yup, Your rig will last for some good long time before The heavy geometry and textures DX11 games come out in 2010-2011.
DX10.1 supports the most important feature in DX11, tessellation, which is used to accelerate geometry processing.
According to AMD, the new tessellatione pipeline in DX10.1/11 will result in up to 3 times the geometry performance using the same amount of processing power.
But unfortunatley, you wont get texture compression, HDR 3.0, and GPGPU standard acceleration.
You shouldn't. A game that will make use of all the DX11 advanced features won't probably show up until, at least, the middle of next year. And at around that time, the second generation of DX11 cards maybe in the way, if not already released...
So hold your horses, and enjoy gaming, for you have an excellent rig.
two 4890s beat out a gtx 295 in anything including crysis and warhead. They usually crush the 295 in other games.

haha ofc does crysis warhead support crossfire how can it be that 2x 4890 get same fps as 2x 285 if it doesnt support crossfire..?

Great videos man.
Crysis doesn't support crossfire well, and so does Far Cry 2.You barely get 50% more performance using the second VGA.
Anyhow, excellent vids.

sounds good, i'll probably be upgrading these graphics cards next year anyway when the dx11 games start coming out ^^
so i don't really bother that i'm not getting dx11 cards when they come out.
