Well Turkic people, Ermanians, Greeks and assyrian people lived together for 1000 years or maybe more. So don't you think cultures would mix during that time? Music and dance doesn't belong just one race or nation. Those are above races and more like universal. I am Hamshentsi, born in Georgia, we moved to Armenia in 1982 and than to USA in 1994. Unfortunatley I lost my Hamshen dialect in Armenia but my Mom speaks very clearly and I understand most of what I hear.

Music and dance doesn't belong just one race or nation. Those are above races and more like universal. First of all we are Turks. So stop calling us Armenians. The Armenians left a long time ago.
Second of all we are proud muslims.
In case some of the Armenians might visit this region in the future. I have an advise, take care of your words because people from this region are known to be the most patriotic/nationalist of whole Turkey.

Hamshen is not by religion or Country of birth, its about a very old Culture and language that has survived for centuries. Evey summer in Sochi we had hundreads of Turkish Hemsinli come and visit friends

My family was originally from a village from Hopa, we still have many distant relatives all Muslim. I was there just about 2 years ago, not one them denied that they were from Armenian origion.
When I speak to 89 year old woman in our old language we both know the ruth.
If you are really Hemsin than I will call you brother (yegpar) if you are Turksih I will still call you brother as we are all the same in name of humanity.

I am Hamshentsi, born in Georgia, we moved to Armenia in 1982 and than to USA in 1994. Unfortunatley I lost my Hamshen dialect in Armenia but my Mom speaks very clearly and I understand most of what I hear.
I never knew we had our people in Turkey
What a tragic histroy we have.
We are all related by blood Hamshen & Armenians, we are all Hay irrespective of religion.

The Hemshin region is shown as part of Kolkhis (299 AD- 387 AD) [6], Tzannoi ( 387 AD 591 AD) [7] and Khaldiya ( 654 AD 750 AD) [8]. The specific location of Hemşin is indicated as Tambur/Hamamašen as a fort and town for the first time in the map covering the period 654-750.Two other Armenian chronicles Ghewond and Stephen Asoghik of Taron, report in short passages in their histories about a migration from Armenia/Oshakan led by prince Shaspuh Amatuni and his son Hamam.

Hemşinlilerin Ermeni olduğuna dair hiçbir sağlıklı bulgu yok, sadece ve sadece ermenilerin "wishful thinking"i. Evet, ermenilerle beraber yaşamışız bir zamanlar. Ancak en güvendikleri kaynaklar bile dilimizin neden ve nasıl türkçe olduğunu açıklayamıyor(ki son zamanlara kadar bölgede ermenice konusan ermeniler vardı). Varsayımdan hareket ederek bir kaşık suda fırtına cıkarıyorlar. Hemşinli akıllıdır, dolduruşa gelmez, okumadan, süzgeçinden geçirmeden inanmaz..
