I have an 3g Iphone

and when i plug it in, the iHome iH41 won't detect my iphone,

and no, i'm not getting any error message.

I click play, and it says on the iHome Screen "Ipod"

but then it still won't play.

Would you have any idea why the docking system won't increase the volume when i'm playing a song? I press the volume up and down and it doesn't change anything. And I have the volume all the way up on my itouch like the instructions say.

Yea and the ipod picture displays too. The songs also cut off halfway through-i might just have a dysfunctional one haha so i am exchanging it tomorrow. Hopefully the next one will work!

It runs off of AC, You plug it into the wall. It has a battery, but thats just for the clock. If its not plugged in, it wont charge your iPod or play music.

jailbreaking gives you the apps that cost money, for free, and themes, and loads of other things

ok, and yes it does, but! if you have to send it in, all you have to do is restore it using iTunes, and viola, jailbreak is gone, and warrenty is fine

you can already do it but its a tethered jailbreak and everytime you turn it off or reboot it you have to plug it into your computer and enter some commands to make it work again, but i would not recomend doing that at all...... just saying that you can jailbreak it..... xD
