one of my girlfriends took that pill when she was 19-she had irregular period for up till she had her baby at 26...she said not matter what it was rigth decision...and now im in kind situation that i have to do it same thing-gonna go tomorow-and i hoping everything would be fine...i know it a sin but i would never give baby for adoption and im too young and im not ready to have one...im so sorry -i thinking all week about it-its very taff disicion...its sad, but i choose...

@TheMalibu225 I hope you didn't go through with it, because a child is the greatest gift a woman can bring into the world. It makes me wonder why women feel that killing your baby is better than giving him/her to a couple who desperately wants one. These days you can take part in choosing the adoptive parents.

That kind of thinking reminds me of men who kill their wife or lovers because they feel that no other man would be good for her.

Emergency contraception is a high dose of the contraceptive progesterone pill where as RU-486 is a progesterone blocker.

Let me reiterate!!! One is a HIGH DOSE OF THE HORMONE to prevent ovulation, the other is a drug to BLOCK the hormone that is NEEDED SUSTAIN THE PREGNANCY.

The emergency contraception pills (Plan B, morning after pill, Next Choice etc) contains 1.5 mg levonorgestrel, a synthetic progesterone. The high dose prevents conception; whereas RU-486 (Mifepristone) ends conception by blocking progesterone.

Progesterone is vital for maintaining a pregnancy. But as we see with birth control and the morning after pill, progesterone can also prevent pregnancy.

I think the abortion pill is a far better method although the after effects are horrible and painful, how ever it is safer in most cases, and it doesn't mean your for killing, the abortion pill is a pill that brings on a miscarriage.

the abortion pill isnt as bad as a real abortion where they suck the poor baby's brain out it's horrible, I think the pill is better and faster, but I wouldnt know cause i could never do tat. Birth control should be for free or not so expensive

I think RU 486 is an awesome pill. God bless the makers of this quiet, discreet pill that essentially screws those who wish to enforce their beliefs on someone else's body.

If you care so much about kids go adopt one or be a foster parent and do your good deeds there.

right first of all, the abortion pill can only be taken upto 9 weeks of pregnancy, and even at that stage the fetus is unable to survive outside of the uterus therefore it is not classed as murder and the fetus is not a human being.

NO. IT'S A BABY WITH FEELINGS. I DON'T CARE IF IT STILL HAS A TAIL. IT MIGHT ONE DAY GROW UP TO BE A BABY ASSUMING IT DOESN'T NATURALLY MISCARRY WHICH HAPPENS IN 50% OF PREGNANCIES ANYWAY.
