It has only been refered to and at best only a hybrid model has been put into effect. Capitalism too has been badly implemented, especially in Africa where corruption is endemic. That's not to say capitalist thought doesn't have it's benefits as does Marxism - it's to say that any system can work if applied well. Marx could work, it's just never been applied well.

Every economy in its infancy, has these growing pains, its due to an oversupply of labor because so many people are coming off the farm, moving to cities to seek a better life. This over supply of labor allows for poor working conditions,wages, hours etc. In time economies grow out of this stage, not because of unions or communism but because the supply of labor gradually goes down as the demand picks up when the economy grows.Whats going on with Belgium's gov't?How is the economy?

It has only been refered to and at best only a hybrid model has been put into effect. Capitalism too has been badly implemented, especially in Africa where corruption is endemic. That's not to say capitalist thought doesn't have it's benefits as does Marxism - it's to say that any system can work if applied well. Marx could work, it's just never been applied well.

The reason why authoritariansm may fill the vacuum as you say in all cases has more to do with the disposition of humanity at this point in human history rather than it nor being possible. Human nature evolves, perhaps in time systems like Marxism may be more realistic. I take your point though.

Lenin had his own complete adaptation of marxism. in its purest form marxism could work. it relies upon a gradual transition through capitalism which is actually encouraged by marx. Marxism can only work on a global scale and relies upon the gradual change of human nature which may yet happen.

Every economy in its infancy, has these growing pains, its due to an oversupply of labor because so many people are coming off the farm, moving to cities to seek a better life. This over supply of labor allows for poor working conditions,wages, hours etc. In time economies grow out of this stage, not because of unions or communism but because the supply of labor gradually goes down as the demand picks up when the economy grows.Whats going on with Belgium's gov't?How is the economy?
