  • As good as fruit is, you really should strive for 80% greens and 20% fruit. Also, use lower sugar fruit like apples, berries etc. Try also adding ground flax seed. Very cheap esp. as Costco. If you use fruit, use the whole fruit, core included. Stay away from the sweeteners like honey and high sugar fruit like grapes. Just too many calories. Greens like spinach, kale, dandelions, carrot tops and the garden variety of mixed greens are really good. Good Luck!

  • @peterdaniel66 Thank you for that wonderful advice. I tried vege smoothies there a bit hard to tolerate so I just try to eat more veges and greens in my daily diet. It's hard also finding a good blender to get them blended well. I'll have to try some in my Oyster. I do use apples and berries primarily in my smoothie and have it about 3 times per week. I add my flax seed after as it tends to stick to the blender glass and is difficult to get off.

  • I've had a Vita-Mix blender for around a year and love it. Have thought about getting the HealthMaster for our daughter and family for Christmas. Little hint. You can add a handful of spinach to your fruit drinks and you will never know it's there. I don't use recipes just use what ever I have around.

  • My mother in-law passed away from lupus. Very sad . What I know now I could have saved her. Look into how to get rid of parasites within yourself. Like a detox. MMS works good.

  • Wow that thing looks powerful!

  • @ColeeLocks It is believe me. I seldom use it on its highest settings.
