@HeavenBound107 If you're a student, you can get the creative suite design standard student edition for about 300 from amazon.com or you might even be able to get it cheaper from your university's computer store. I got it for 200 at mine. and that has photoshop cs5, illustrator, and a couple other things. I think there are student editions for photoshop by itself, too.

i would recommend you make your lines a bit longer with a bigger angle otherwise you get the impression its like a rope that is strangling the person

i follow your exact step but when i click on ok on the stroke path menu, it create this misty effect around the image. please help. the one thing i do different is have a plain grey background, then insert a cropped image on a separate layer then merge those two layers to make one. i still make a new layer for the spiral. what am i doing wrong. people say it is easy, but i have been going at it for hours and i still havent done it yet. people show the video but dont show the settings

When you have used the pen tool for the zigzag, you cannot see which tool you are on when you select stroke path. Everything stops after that. Some might be lucky to get it, I don't, not very good tut.
