1.) The other houseguests mistakingly interpreted The Brigade's subtle solidarity as a majority in the house.

2.) Because they sensed a majority in the house, the other 8 HG's gravitated to the majority.

3.) Since no one wanted to stick their neck out against the majority, no one showed their true colors (which is what made other BB seasons so fun because each person was their individual self and not gravitating to the majority).
