I feel sorry for all the actors who will now be associated with this horrible and disgusting advert. The last part with the little girl just rips my heart out because it's so wrong. Whoever Littlewoods use for their marketing should be fired immediately as this advert conveys to me that Littlewoods are sexist, materialistic (That you aren't a "lovely mother" if you don't buy them these expensive gifts which are even more expensive at Littlewoods than retail) and think that we all are too

I am a Media Student, and I think this advert is terrible!!! There is so much abuse to what may be seen as the Minority Groups of people in some peoples views!! The main example using sexism to show that mothers are the people to go out and buy the presents!! In this day and age I think that there are many single male parents who have to do the shopping for Christmas presents. It also shows a stereotypical view of black people, as it relates rapping to the black child. Terrible!

I have complained to the Advertising Standards Agency that this advert breaks their rules by being targeted directly at children to put pressure on the mother to buy them things even if their mother can't afford it - in which case the mother can take out a credit agreement with Littlewoods. Apart from the sexist undertone that somehow hardworking dads don't make a significant contribution to a family Christmas, the ASA should ban any ad aimed at an audience of children.
