For everyone hating on Plants, they absolutely sucked before 5ds (I think, tell me if I'm wrong). The Plant Deck really put Plants up and any deck is fun to play. The cards cost alot, sure. Its their money, stop hating on people who do what they want with it, they live with the consequences not you. Finally, if you say the game is broken, well thats your opinion, but, fun fact: the game is still fun. So stop hating on things people like to do that do not affect you in any way. Nuff' said.

@achram093 You don't really see his/her point tbh.. If you check yu gi oh series, you can absolutely see that almost everyone has different style of decks. Also if you check some TCG games that are actually in top, you can see that in best players there are really huge variety of the decks they're using. It means that the cards are balanced, and no tactic are superior to everything. Yu Gi Oh is bad because of that, because in the group of best players, same cards are repeating all the time.

its more tech use than a plant deck just the plant engine is the only plants. well still good deck in my opinion same format i use just without maxx c and tour guide since i lack the money and luck for them. still i have the sleeves for that deck box want the box though. good luck in 2012 tournament i might show up for the first time introducing a new deck that hasn't been beaten yet

So, it seems all that you need to win any given YCS tournament is lots of staples and money for them all. Seriously, doesn't anyone just play fun decks anymore? Stuff like Lavals, Volcanics, PACMAN, Gishki... even a draw-out Exodia?

It seems everyone either plays Agents or this sort of deck. No one even runs Dragunitys any more.

@crazyhotrot Staples are cards that can be used in almost any and every deck... I think his only monster card staple was Sangan, because it isn't a bad choice in most decks. The rest of his staples were Heavy Storm, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, MST, Torrential, and the Solemn brigade.

@zackolot w/e man, I liked yu-gi-oh more before EXVC, there were cool cards but no playsets of 500$ which give you instant wins. Before EXVC, there were not auto-decks and it was still fun.

@crazyhotrot No auto decks? Fishborg? Draw your whole deck, then inflict 9000 to your opponent first turn? If the E-Hero that needed one E-Hero and one dark monster was released, all you needed to do that was Future Fusion.

Don't forget about Six Samurai. That was one of the cheapest formats in history.

Once the gameplay further evolves, it won't be that cheap.

First tur, your opponent goes tour guide into sangan in def mode, passes. Your turn you go tour guide into sangan. Use enemy controller, tribute sangan take their sangan. Search for sangan. Exceed your tour guide and your opponent's sangan for leviathan/leviair. Detach their sangan for effect, they dont get search. You do. :DDD

First it was duality and people trying to play upstart and recless greed instead. DONT TRY REPLACNG! Just innovate. If there were sutable replacements for these cards, wouldnt people just use those instead of the expensive ones? The answer is HECK YES.

Anyway, you should innovate. Like instead of using Tour guide in agents, someone came up with T.G. Agents.

In my opinion the deck did not need the triple tourguide, and could have topped/won without (topped OR won since the final 16 is more about luck then actual skill, which is logical in a comeptitive card game where you start off with 6 cards out of 40)
