theres 24 lifters in a 300zx engine they cost 10 dollars a piece but the labor is expensive and you should only get it worked on at a placed that has a grade A (don't go to elite motor sport in pomona california they're complete rip offs
No need to change any lifters or adjust them.... (Dont think you can) Try a bottle of Marvel Myster Oil, just put it in with your oil. It should quiet them down a bit. Or try a thicker oil, maybe 15w50.
My 1991 twin turbo had a lifter that clicked on and off for 40K miles. They all tick! I had the motor rebuilt and it is almost done. No big deal!

Sorry to say, but if those hydraulic lifters beginning to make noise all the time,
you just have to exchange them....

Yeah, run thicker oil and use your car more. Your lifters will tick in any car and can become loud if you don't drive it often.

no need to change the lifters, just do a valve adjustment.. and yeah change you're oil more often, consider a higher weight.
