  • I used to love those maple sugar maple leaves when I was a little kid. We'd get them when our school took us to the Pioneer Village.

  • how the hell did they make 30000pounds of maple syrup?

  • Maple is so under appreciated. Polar Ice Maple vodka is all kinds of awesome.

  • Didn't the canadians invent maple syrup?

  • @DeagleBeagle actually they learn it from Indians living on the continent.

  • @gareth4561 Lord... Indians are from India, but these people are Native / Aboriginal / Indigenous Americans (Canadians)

  • @HeyPoi First Nations or Original People

  • i thought Aunt Jamima invented Maple Syrup?

  • Lol i love how drunk natives come on the bus and declare me an enemy for stealin their land.

  • mmm. maple syrup from a massacred race.

    delicious, delicious !

  • I find it ironic that the woman writing a letter to the crown refers to the Indians as 'friends.' Unless my Canadian history is rusty, European settlers really screwed the natives over.

  • I wanna try some!

  • Maple syrup that is some real good shit

  • Mmm, hot maple syrup on fresh snow. <3

  • Listen to that Indian laugh at 0:32

  • why in the world don't you know that???

  • What the hell? Honey comes from bees, maple syrup comes from trees...

  • long live Canadia.

  • That kid is taking a leak behind that tree at 0:22, there's no other explanation for this lol

  • Anyone ever had birch syrup?

  • Maple taffy (Syrup poured over snow) is AMAZING

  • He's a samurai ???? lmao

  • That's what I thought he said too! LMAO

  • I was at one of the only remaining traditional maple syrup places outside of Montreal (sucrerie de la montagne, in Rigeaud) a little while back and I read an article on the wall that said that Quebec is capable of producing lots more maple syrup than we already do but the problem is that noone wants it.

It`s very little known outside of Canada, and even within Canada not many people outside of Ontario and Quebec eat it. It`s like our delicious secret.

  • I desire to taste Maple Syrup, but the problem is: the "maple syrup' the food companies promote is none other than american food additives added with sugar , unworthy of the name "Maple Syrup" at all..Perhaps ill buy and taste some when i go to Canada one day!

  • .. People eat maple syrup all over canada

  • Maple Syrup hardened on snow is fucking delicious.

  • Amd if you drink the "seve" the maple sap without boiling...don't go too far from a bathroom...it will clean your inside

in these day's the Canadien (french one ) learn from the native the art of the spring ''Purgation''

excellent after a winter when you eat no fresh vegetable, no fresh fruit, basicaly only smoke, dry or salt meat

  • @redwolf2k I KNOW

  • I never saw this one before!

  • Yes its syrup in the time a bag of sugar could cost you a months wages? remeber superwall mart never happened back then, Maple sugar nice with strong coffee black,

  • sisbuckqeit

  • Besides loving Maple syrup, I have drank the liquid maple sap fresh-dripped from the tree. It is milder (not yet concentrated by boiling) but still sweet and delicious. Truly one of nature's most special gifts.

  • They must have made a pretty penny selling that maple syrup to France. I wonder how much of that money they gave to the Native's who showed them how to do it? Hmmmmmmmm

  • I think that most of it was for domestic use. It was far much easier and cheaper to get sugar from La Martinique. It takes roughly 40 L of maple sap to make 1 L of syrup. And you have to boil the syrup even more to get taffy and then sugar. The production is also limited to the beginning of spring, when days are warm and nights freezing. In fact, in 1763, France decided to keep La Martinique instead of Canada because of its sugar.

  • its Syrup!
