If you study history the stock market AND housing markets have gone up and down. It's cyclical as it's always been. Do you know how having a reduction in sales tax will effect property taxes? Your property taxes are determined based on how much sales tax is generated by the city. Sales tax offsets budget deficits. If you have less sales tax revenue, the city needs the money for new roads, community projects, etc. in other ways, so they raise property taxes.
