Once i got passed how unlike the 1986 movie the voices and character designs/animation are, I began to like this game a lot. it grows on u if u give it a chance. the DLC ads to it in a good way. I used to diss this game when i had the demo. After extensive play i hold it in high regards (still wish it was more like the 86 anime though).

For those talking about the english voice acting, its a dynasty warriors game at heart; of course the voice acting is expected to be attrocious. However, i really think they did a good job with kens voice. In all honesty, i like him better than the old english anime dubs.

Well done, KOEI, well done. Hokuto no Ken looks absolutely amazing. This video clip doesn't do it justice. HnK's awesomeness absolutely makes up for the first 360/PS3 Dynasty Warriors games, which looked like PS2 games.

Now I wish KOEI would set their sights on BERSERK. Because after playing HnK, I couldn't imagine a more natural fit. Hear that KOEI? License BERSERK next.

@Rennba yes but name one time any dbz character punches a guy 1000 times, walks away as the guy gets up, tells them they are already dead as the bad guy then has a delayed explosion. And not an explosion of fire and smoke but of blood and organs. I like dbz too but fotns beats dbz in the implausible moves and deaths department.

@Rennba That's dbz and this is Fist of the North Star, so STFU and go back to DBZ vs. Naruto vids. Every anime/manga antagonists emphasize their own strength in their own way. DBZ just overemphasizes by destroying planets and just by doing that it brings fanboys like you to believe that just because they can destroy galaxies that it's automatically the ultimate anime show over. It's not about destroying planets it's about the character of the anime, that's why I don't think DBZ's the best.

I've always noticed from game footage, that Koei is getting alot better at animating movement in the stage/background. In past games when something was shown being moved or exploding or something the animation for it was quite frankly poor. This animation is slik and clean. Koei is getting much better. Not that they weren't already extremely awesome

Ken's toki, or battle aura, makes his skin stronger than any metal, nigh impenetrable against weapons.
