  • I think Casablanca is too overrated. I have the film. It's ood but not amazing.

  • Casablanca has just one problem. What exactly is the point?

  • i think I'm the only person in the world who didn't like this movie xD don't get me wrong, the acting was great, and I love the actors, but I don't know, I fall asleep every time I try to watch it xD it just doesn't captivate me like other movies can...

  • This was such a great film. Hated Gone With the Wind. Loved Casablanca.

  • unforgatable

  • @007coelinha You would make yourself look awfully silly (and lose any Internet credibility) if you were to actually list 50 movies that you consider better than Casablanca. That's a fact.

  • Honestly, I think this film is highly overrated. This is a very good movie, but a bunch of film sites (AFI, National Film Registry, etc.) are putting this in the top three. It doesn't even belong in the top 50. And a bunch of people say that this is one of the greatest movies ever made. No it's not. Very good movie, but very highly overrated.

  • ♦ Worth another view, will kick back with a my spiritual friends a smoke or three & a meat pie to watch this late tonight....Just Keep Playin' It Sam. ♦

  • I love this film more every time I see it. A timeless classic that only gets better with age.

  • STEVE JOBS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • White house!

  • @RafaelDivoz casablanca it's city in morocco

  • @matthias100 I know, but that means

  • Ingrdi Bergman Sweden go sweden go :D

  • no doubt that this may be the greatest movie ever made

  • The acting is superb and the atmosphere is electric.. Even after all of this time it is still a masterpiece. There is such a shortage of good actors these days..

  • I saw this movie for the first time at San Francisco state University film club in 1976. What amazes me the most to this day is the reaction of the audience! I never expected such cheering, such passion, such positive feedback from an audience of young preppies from California watching such an old fashioned movie. Conclusion: some stories will always stand the test of time.

  • This ain't gon' end up like that Casablanca movie. This ain't no fairytale or fiction this is truly us for all eternity. There'll be no end to our love story, baby.

  • This looks cool. When is going to be released?

  • @kaos3124 you´ve got to be kidding me. hahaha

  • Go to ClassicTrailerGuy's page and subscribe for lots of classic theatrical trailers!

  • I looked this up because its playing in the movie in the park 2mmrw night...

Lol Casablanca? White house? Why is it called that.?

  • crap!!!

  • my classmates are surprised because they cant believe that a 14 yr. old filipino guy like me would love to watch this kind of film... but what should i do? i love them...

    the script is perfect...

ONE OF THE BEST FILMS EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrCindek This film is 1942. You have to be proud to love a movie that is not only a masterpiece but also has a remarkable prophetic gift : it announces the defeat of Germany when everyone was sure it would be winner. and Germany actually surrended three long lasting years later, in 1945 : this prophecy gift is what most still impresses me even if we are in 2011 and I can only congratulate you for your intellicencei!!! Germany was your country enemy because allied with your enemy Japan

  • This movie is boring and forgetable i tried hard not to fall asleep while watching but I failed.

  • @noodiTHEboss I see what you mean.

  • lol im on a mission to watch every movie made by THE BEST ACTOR Humphrey Bogart. its really fun and i most certainly enjoy all of the films with him in it. if you haven't already, i highly suggest doing so =). id also like to say, movies made in the older times are SOOOOO much better then now, it was all about acting, now alot of the movies are just special effects and such. too bad i was born this late in time, i missed out!

  • May there be a special place reserved in hell for that person who tries to remake Casablanca for some movies are off limits period. Films like this are part of the fabric of the history of cinema have stood the test of time and can still be enjoyed today such as this, Gone with the Wind, Singing in The Rain, Citizen Kane, 12 Angry Men, Maltese Falcon (yes i know this movie was a remake but let's leave it alone shall we) etc.

  • I'm 19 but since I watched this movie when I was 14 it's my all time favorite!

  • this is the most boring film ive ever since soo long

  • Casablanca is definitely one of the top three movies ever made hands down. The story is just one of the best stories ever. It’s also one of the best quotable movies. I saw a foreign movie called Bride Flight that was awesome, not Casablanca great, but definitely one of the better movies to come out lately. Both movies I would say are definite must sees. bit. ly/mvjnEE

  • Marechal nous voila!!

L`Etat Francais is best regime in French history.

Long live the Naval Battle of Casablanca which fought between Vichy France and the USA!!!

  • so, SO OVERRATED.... but not bad....

  • You say romantic comedies? I say this! How can love movies go from this to cheap trash like Grown-ups?

  • 0:22 on the right side of the screen you can see Ben Laden's father. hehehe..

  • Pocałuj mnie. Pocałuj mnie tak jakby to miał być ostatni raz.

Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time.

  • If they remade this movie it would be a disaster. Any classic movie remade would be horrid.

Thank god Peter Lorre was mentioned in the trailer. One of my favorite actor :)

  • Everyone agrees bro.. she is fuckin beautiful and I was crazily intrigued by her in the movie

    Nevertheless, still a great movie

  • Casablanca, my city <3

  • As an 18 year old who usually hates romantic movies.... This was an excellent film.

  • 1950s and 1960s produced so many truly beautiful actresses. Today another legend passed away. RIP Elizabeth Taylor.

  • I want Bogie. I want him. Is that so wrong?

  • @christopherm2k Rick is my moral compass. :)

  • WONDERFUL!!

  • To be honest this movie was okay but it was WAYYY too melodramatic. I know this is a classic and like I said I enjoyed some of it but its overrated. I'm sorry I really am. For better movies about WWII that actually show the war I recommend Letters from Iwo Jima,Schindler's List(okay that's the holocaust but same time),and Saving Private Ryan I liked those films much more.

Like I said I'm really sorry I didn't like this classic like most people do.

  • I've never seen Casablanca, however I'm curious. But it looks like another sappy love story. I mean, is the acting even good? Is the love truly passionate and romantic as everyone's making it out to be? It's claimed to be the number one most romantic movies of all time. Ive read this on several websites.

  • @theaprilmay1 I watched it yesterday and I have to say it is really good. I got into it the second it started. It's worth to watch. Just one word - Classic.

  • @FilmReviewGuy789 Don´t get me wrong .I LOVE this film. it is one of the greatest indeed, but some people make it to be the greatest ever. that´s what I meant :P

  • as much as I love this film I must say it is overrated. Don´t get me wrong it is a truly great film, but not the greatest as some say

  • Actresses of today have nothing on the classic beauties of yesterday. I agree it's not silly to have a crush on Ingrid Bergman, Rita Hayworth, Liz Taylor, Veronica Lake, Vivien Leigh, Louise Brookes etc etc................

  • I know It is kind of silly but I got a crush on Ingrid Bergman, She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

    R.I.P. My Dearest Ingrid...

  • @santy573 it is not silly at all.Ingrid was a classic,timeless beauty.

  • @santy573

You know, I agree. I am 60 years old and way to young for a woman in her prime in the 40s before I was born. However, I find her allure to be mesmerizing. What a beautiful and interesting person. The story of her life and how unconventionally she chose to lead it was part of her appeal.

  • Louis i think its begining of beautiful friendship

  • @QuantumQuacks here pal, fuck off with your pretentious bullshit, your littering a page that should be full of admiration with your vain attempt to appear intelligent. Fuck off and die

  • Greatest movie of the history!

  • @QuantumQuacks I have to agree on the music, it sounds somewhat out of place. However, apart from that, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Casablanca. It's got plot, characters, dialog, direction, acting (Peter Lorre, I love that guy :D) and, well... meaning.

The fact that parts of the movie are fake is obvious, that's more or less the definition of film. Still a great one.

  • @QuantumQuacks hahahahaa

  • I truly think that anybody who believes that a movie like Avatar or Transformers is on par with Casablanca or Gone With the Wind or The Godfather or Citizen Kane or Goodfellas is a legitimate moron.

I'm not just saying that because I disagree with them. I actually think that they aren't able to understand complex ideas and are doomed to live uninteresting and gluttonous existences.

  • @TheSoulofthe40s I disagree. i would say " illegitimate" moron...

  • @QuantumQuacks Well, it is a movie. You do know that, right? You know that movies are fake? Realism may be attempted, but (aside from in a documentary) it is never truly perfected, because the people are actors playing out what's called a role. A Mexican may be an Arab on the screen, just as an American may be an Englishman.

  • @QuantumQuacks 0/10 TRY HARDER

  • wow trailer suck back than, but the movie are good

  • This is one of those movies u watch ovrr n over until u know every line. Haha

  • Is this movie where the phrase "the usual suspects" comes from then? Or was it already around?

  • @lollipopfop This is the film that coined that phrase, yes.

  • @lollipopfop yeah. this is where it comes from.

  • I don't know. Its OK. But special? Sure Rick loved her. Great. Yawn. If a guy that looked like Mr Bogart loved me Id rather he did it from far away. Not a stud. I can honestly say i hate the slow pacing on these old films. Its like they want to insult the audience by suggesting we have nothing better to do. Thank God for videos. They taught people how to edit. No wonder no one under 50 will ever see this film.

  • @lollipopfop I saw this movie and Im eleven.Mybrother watched this and hes six.And The thing is, these modern movies are some what ruined because of the pace. In old movies they didnt need an explosion everysingle minute or a car crash er somthing like thatBecause they had PLOTAnd an example for this is Casino Royale. In the I954 casino royale movie there was no pointless drama to make it longer. Were as in the 2006 CR bond chases a Bomb maker which has nearly no importance, same as other remakes

  • casablanca; my hometown. my favorite movie.

  • someday I'll see it¡¡¡ when I'll find it.. ;P looks like a amazing movie¡

  • i have so many of these old movies i want to see and i dont think i will because the ones like this that i want to see dont even come on tv and cant be found online.

  • oh i want to see it, but I haven't yet :(

  • going to see this on the big screen on valentines day

  • lol fighting the new world order one funny line at a time :)

  • Only when you have suffered and sacrificed can you appreciated this move. When I was in my 20's I watched and it was OK. Ten years later I really started to love it. It has what novelist and William Faulkner called in his Nobel prize acceptance speech, everything that makes a story great: love & honor & pity & pride & compassion & sacrifice.

  • @Lughnerson Oh, I don't know. I feel like watching it once was enough suffering and sacrifice. No need to watch it again. Its missing a few things that make a story great: Good plot, fascinating characterization and realistic motivation, good acting.....

  • watch this and more movies in a daily growing list at

    movies-online-only blogspot com

  • I appreciate the fact that younger viewers enjoy this classic, inimitalbe film. No one who watches this movie cannot be unmoved by the sacrifice and dedication to love displayed by Rick. Who could say that they would do the same? I'm not sure that I could. :)

  • @christopherm2k Im still 13 but i love watching these kinds of movies! Especially Breakfast at tiffany's, casablanca, gone with the wind, and the seven year itch!

  • @JiroWang143143 Yeah you're 13, sure.

  • @oneputtsteven wont elieve me? fine :)

  • you saw the movie ..oh no wait your just spittin sh!t about a 2 min trailer made in 1942.

refrain from posting anything till your 30. come back in 15 years and we'll see if you've improved

  • Just watched this for the first time last night, good movie, and I'm 20. I don't normally watch movies this old but I kept hearing about how this was a "classic must see" etc. so finally gave it a chance. It was actually really good, the trailer doesn't do it justice though. Of course I played Grim Fandango before watching this (and loved that game) and there were some sections of the game that borrowed heavily from Casablanca so that probably helped my enjoyment some, haha. Good show!

  • A quote from james rolfe

"the normal movie goer sees in black and white"

    but my add on is

but those same people refuse to see the black and white movies that shaped movies we see today

  • I loved this film. I really loved it, more than most films from that time that I've seen. I thought I'd find it annoyingly romantic, but it's really good.

    What I didn't like was the trailer, I g

  • i love this movie. well i like any movie old.its so romantic, and wonderful.i recomend this movie to any movie lover.

  • Wow, it still amazes me how some people "can't see black and white." Wow.

  • Its always good to know something about the movies from the past and the famous actors. Great actors from the past.

  • This is a fantastci movie.

  • this movie has everything -great acting romance action drama excietement great exotic locales colorful fun strange and even ruthless characters she is so beautiful and bogart so cool-quite simply the best movie ever!
