  • What Key is this one in?

  • its the key in C

    Eeco

  • Great Version -Boogie baby Boogie .

  • Great job!

  • GREAT!!!

Can you do 'The House Of Blue Lights' as well?

  • Thanks for the Boogie Woogie fix!

  • Man you sure stay in the pocket, great stuff,

  • yeah thanks :) swing it !!!

  • Nice sense of timing you have... A real boogie woogie feel... You don't try to swing it too hard (a common error) but you don't play it totally square either.

  • well thank you for your kind words...boogie on!! :D

  • Great music. Good to know young guys still play this style. Albert Ammons, Mead Lux Lewis, Jerry Lee. I listen to this music when I feel p*ssed off - gives me instant cheer-up and a cardio-vascular workout at the same time. Keep it up.

  • The song was NOT Milburn's. It was written by Don Raye in 1940, loooong before Milburns version. Don Raye was the same guy who wrote Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B, and also wrote Beat Me Daddy 8 To The Bar. He wrote "Down The Road A Piece" for the Will Bradley Orchestra, and Freddy Slack was the pianist. The lyrics "The drummer man's a guy they call 8 Beat Mack" are about Ray McKinley who was Will Bradley's drummer and called 8 beat Mack

  • Brilliant wish I could play it as well :)

  • That was GREAT!

  • Freakyhead plays and sings great. I love Amos Milburn's version but I think it was originally by Freddy Slack. [One of the lines is "You remember Doc and old Beat-Me-Daddy Slack"]. Cheers.

  • That's right, I have this song from that cd :D

  • Loved it! By the way, you probably all already know this but the original was (I believe) recorded by Amos Milburn in the late 40's, and is a great exampleof his rhythm and blues piano style.

  • Yes I've seen his video. I just need a bassplayer+drums!! :D

  • Make a video & recording for some agents and managers around Europe who know boogie & send it round, so you can be discovered. Contact other successful boogie players & find out what they did. Advertise locally or online for the bass player & drummer. The fact you play other music will show how versatile you'd be in performance as well. Good luck, Eeco.

  • Awesome stuff, one of my favorite Amos songs, probably his best.

  • Nice. Have you heard Dow the Road a Piece from the Album Old Bloody by Jerry lee Lewis?

  • That CD is "Youngblood" Cat..Danny

  • Hi Eeco, u r my hero! I am piano-boogie man from Czech, but just a beginner... I wanna play like u, with the feel and swing, so far I cant keep the left hand steady... looking forward to see more of ur videos and I will try to post my attempts too... Take care, Patrik

  • Hi Patrik , thank you for your comment. I didnt had time to post any vid's this weekend cause I've been so busy with work, I'll try to do some next week. :)

  • No pressure Eeco, quality is more than quantity and I need to catch up with u anyway :]. So if u make new videos, I would appreciate Lessons, some tricks for the right hand :]. Would u know where to get free sheet boogie music? Thx. Keep it up. Btw> How old r u?

  • I dont know where u can get sheets. Im 23 and live in Holland.

  • Absolutely unbelievable!! Rock solid rhythm, nice relaxed feel... and all while you're singing :O Thanks for posting.

(I thought your voice was alright actually) ;)

  • WilleDinest1...I saw an interview of Chuck Berry and he noticed real early that people loved Boogie Woogie and put some boogie in his songs. He and Jonny Johnson (his piano player and his roots) put together the guitar and piano boogie sound.

  • There is a video of Johnnie Johnson's piano style on www.homespuntapes.com. It comes with a booklet of music transcriptions of some of the pieces in the video. Johnnie was a pure natural genius at piano, who put a smile on the face, and deep feeling in the heart of all who saw him play in person. Those chordal riffs from his big hands rolled through Chuck's music. I knew him from '74 to '05 as a good friend.

  • Aaawwww Yeeaah, Eeco, you got the house rockin with this one, I have a copy of Chuck Berry performing this song and you have got the same swinging feel and sound that he put in it :)

, Thank you again, Eeco :) Top rating again :)

  • Hi Eeco WOW its great, by the way I'm a bass player pity I'm in Australia Can listen to this one all night

    Terry

  • Wheeeeeeeeeeee...I love it!...makes you want to jump up and dance. Your AlPeteLux all in one. Thanks for the performance....

  • Yeah thanX!..although my voice isn't that good, give me a bass and a drummer and my dream will come true.
