Well, depends on your definition of gay. I am pretty sure that Johnny is not straight, but I also believe him when he says he isn't having sex with ANYBODY and doesn't have the time. Johnny doesn't lie about anything else - even when it hurts him - so why should he lie about that? He doesn't conceal his femininity at all - in fact he feeds into it by wearing pink tassles, high heels, blonde wigs, etc. I think JW feels he should not get stuck with the GAY label since he isn't sexually active.
