Being a limey brit with bad teeth who was actually drinking tea while I watched this, I'm not really familiar with 1776. But the pmv was awesomely done.
Very nice. I had an idea floating around to start doing some 1776 but it fell way back in the queue. I better get on it before it all gets snatched up.
This is excellent. This is my favorite song from 1776, so seeing it ponified is particularly gratifying. And Rarity as John Dickinson? Simply perfect.
Well done, LM! YAY, ponies! YAY, musical theater! YAY, history! "But don't forget that most men with nothing would rather protect the possibility of becoming rich than face the reality of being poor. And that is why they will follow us" Arrgh, capitalism!
I heard this song was actually taken out of the cinematic release at the insistence of Nixon because he feared it would brand Republicans of being of the same mindset as the Tories then.
@Al1701 In fact, apparently President Nixon wanted the tapes of that song destroyed, and wanted it removed from the play as well. He was...a paranoid man.
I am opposed to Rarity playing the part of John Dick-in mouth-son. But I'll let it pass since you did such a good a job.
