@TripleD0T Thanks for the reply. I already have a hk 3490 shipping out to me. I'm going be using it on sony ssf7000 floor standing sets that holds 2 "8 each. Shouldn't the HK980 be weaker than the hk3490?
@OCz4Life I much more prefer the M65's :). The CV's do play louder and has more and deeper bass, but the sound quality is sooo much better on m65. And i also have a sub now so i get good, low bass. :)
Is the bass and treble on that hk 3490 nice and loud? becuase I'm thinking of buying one to use without an eq. Thanks

@yangstown The bass is great, but some say the treble can be a bit shy. But i don't think so at all. I think everything sounds like it should sound!
Are you going to use it on really big speakers? If not, the HK 980 might be a good alternative to this receiver. :)

@yangstown Yes, the HK980 is a bit weaker, but it is more focused to sound quality. The HK3490 still sounds exceptional though!
