Total lack of emotion in it. Its like one of those cheesy demo's you find on a keyboard or something. Perfectly played, cant fault it except there's no feeling, which is probably the most important thing. When you listen to artists such as Ben Howard as a modern example, what he's playing isn't that impressive but there so much emotion dripping from his playing you can't help but be in awe.

Sure fire way to ensure you take up a different hobby - is to watch too many You Tube videos. Every time I visit a page where some amazing player from Asia is showing how it's done, there's always some comments about the player "not getting the music", "lack of soul" or some other putdown. Listen to this without watching the player. It sounds a little too polished in some parts, but in other parts it gets really funky.

Put aside your predjuce and what you expect from Asia, this is real talent. Remember that this was an advert for the guitar she's playing and it works very well as that

Shows an Asian study and work ethic. No more. No joy, life, pleasure or anything. She probably practiced many hours per day for it, look how mechanical and lifeless it is. I see the exact same thing at the library in exam session. Asian students practically licking the notes off their papers and textbooks to get 99% in everything. For what? Where is the enjoyment in these peoples lives? I suppose its the only way in a culture with people scrambling over one another to try and get ahead.
