Correction on below. She should take on a "powerlifting" regimen rather than a bodybuilding one. Bigger moves, heavier weight creates the most muscle growth targeting the biggest muscle groups.
This girl knows her stuff. I always saw her on TV yelling at people thinking otherwise but she really impresses me here. The girl she's giving advice to needs to think "bodybuilding" regimen. Less cardio, resistance training, caloric surplus, recovery. The only think I would change is the way she chooses the split. No need to directly work arms if the movements are based on compound exercises. Such as squats, deads, pulls and presses which are the BEST muscle building exercises.
GEEEEEEZ. With her advice all my waking life will be working out. I have better things to do then make my life all about how my body looks. I walk half an hour every day, eat well and I feel great. Beauty and health doesn't have to take over your life.
I haven't gone a day without exercising since Christmas of 2007, and maybe that doesn't even count, because I took my dog for a really long walk that day......so, is that bad? Should I be resting? I feel so completely disgusting when I don't exercise, I just can't bear the thought of being inactive even for one day.
@EmilyA1984 I think as long as you switch it up and don't overdo it, you're fine. Don't work body parts too close together and stay in a healthy weight.
@EmilyA1984 Yes, you need to take some rest days. What you're describing sounds like classic exercise addiction, and it's not healthy. It wears out your body, lowers immune function, and raises stress levels. You need some balance in there. I would take at least one rest day a week.

Lift heavy Deadlifts, Squats and Bench Press. That will add a lot of muscle.

she knows her stuff. The only thing I would have said different is to use compound exercises in a hypertrophy phase.
