redsnow will not reconize the ipsw from your donwload for 3.1.2 for the old Iphone

hello your tutorial was great, ive already jailbroken before so i knew what to do and i had the ipsw. file long before but you gave me confidence in what to do because i ws on 3.0 firmware and i restored to 3.1.2 now my cydia is damn fast thx

I'm good until I have to hold down buttons and make it go to another screen. It just doesn't go to them! it shows the plug into itunes screen but then goes blank and won't do anything. idees

im still on 3.0 Bband 4.x

if i update to 3.1.2 using official apple firmware it will upgrade my Bband to 5.x

using redsn0w 0.9 will jailbreak it, but can i unlock it using blacksn0w? or do i have to update using custom firmware that does not touch BASEBAND so i could still use ultrasn0w. ????????

seem to work great for me so im not seeing anything wrong with the beta. if anything they will change small tweeks in the actual program but i think you would be just fine doing the beta

the text in boot logo is called verbose boot its pretty cool if u just want ur normal custom boot logo just uncheck verbose boot

you name them whatever appears on the ipod as the name so like "settings.png"

haha yeah im really not sure why it does that. Did you do the full jailbreak or just the boot logo cause that may be what our problem is.
