  • what didn't they modify

  • Where can i find this off-road company? im gonna prepare my truck to the artic challenge

  • @Supak888 Search for Arctic Trucks.

  • After seeing this,I went and bought a Hilux.Toyota should thank them. Can't get better advertising than this.

  • i wish i can drive my hilux at artic .....may be in my dream...ha ha

  • @azarudin1968 If you could get it to Iceland you can get arctictrucks to modify it for you ;)

  • yea but will it blend

  • beast of a truck

  • alot more than it would cost to buy mattrax.

  • @joecoia88 While working just as well as mattracks, getting you higher speeds and being great for the streets too...

  • wonder how much that costs to have all the mods?? anyone know?

  • ЙааааЗЗЬЬЬьь

  • youtube mattrax, seriously check it out! maybe there is some reason im not thinking of as to why they wouldnt have used these.. what do i know, im just a dumb american who for some reason loves horspower, and big trucks.... im a weirdo

  • bottom line, this company that turns vehicles into snow trucks buy putting huge tires on them is retarded, for $3000+ a peice they might as well buy mattrax, they will actually distribute weight accross a much larger surface. A one ton pick up can drive on fresh powder with mattrax and leave a foot print only inches deep. The guys on top gear would have had no problem had they used them. google it.. mattrax.

  • ford raptor doesnt have shit on this...

  • 3:10 russian speech "амортизаторы-то работают" means "shock absorbers working well". Russians everywhere!

  • I have one and will never get another car.

  • That driver wont get out easy after he puts it inside the container 2:00

  • we have them in Mexico also some people buy them and use them in USA and Canada xD

  • How big r this tires? 38 inches? or 44 inches? 4-7 inches lifted?

  • Alain fahed snow off-road

  • SWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

  • eeeeeeewwwwwwwww ford f-150 all the way

  • Dear Santa...

  • what a beast i want one

  • fcaw weld super

  • svona á að gera þetta!!

  • nice one...

  • Iceland makes the best off road trucks

  • ill bet you our Hillux beats all of these trucks put together!

well, its actually my uncles... but he bought a copy of one of the pick ups from ( DISTRICT 9 ) Toyota Hillux!

    $105k but its bomb af

  • @joey62978 Sure, I'll take your money any day!

  • I was always told that a skinny tire is better in deep snow or mud because it cuts down to the bottom instead of spinning out on the surface. Then if you have problems on ice, u get chains. Thats why all the WW2 jeeps had skinny farmer tires. I dont think those upgrades make a difference except make it look good and use more gas. I have done all this stuff in my close to stock chevy in Canadian snow.

  • @LakeErieFising Oh really, what are you going to do when the snow/mud is actually deeper than your tires? ride on the bottom with your skinny tires?

  • @LakeErieFising skinny tires don't distribute 3 tons as well on thin ice than those big tires, also those can run on extremely low pressures in snow .There's a reason why they use big tires I live in Canada and I've been to Iceland, I drive a f-150 5.4l xtr, trust me, it wouldn't cut it. The upgrades also featured a better suspension , a protective plate 2 in thick and an aux gas tank (all damaged during the show) and they made it because of that , useful when you go to the north pole, no?

  • did they replace the axle?

  • 3:10 по Русски "амортизаторы то работают" Наши всюду !

  • สวยมากๆๆอ่ะ

  • they removed 95% of toyota parts and replaced them with chevy

sounds pointless i know, but toyota were the sponsors, so how else would they have survived that journey?

  • @Mr2pint wtf lol they dindt, come on allways an american cars lover come and talk shit on another videos, if you dont like toyota go to fucking hell and dont watch the video

  • @omar53333 i'm sorry if the facts hurt, deal with it

  • @omar53333 what facts are you talking about, this truck doesnt have any chevrolet part, you are just fucking arround like every north american people that just troll in videos saying usa cars are better.

if they just added things from chevrolet to this hilux, then why didnt they picked up a chevy?, its ridiculous.

  • @omar53333 They could have used any truck for this. Please inform everyone as to what is so special about this particular truck (stock) since you apparently didn't notice it has been heavily modified from its original form. Please provide something besides anecdotal fan boy evidence.

  • @CaptainMudgopher yup, im not saying hilux is the better truck or something, the thing is that a guy said they was replacing toyota pars for chevy parts wich is not true, i hate how that kind of guy come here to talk shit.

i know they changed a lot of parts from the truck but that idiot come here saying that those are chevy parts, if they was why didnt they picked an stock chevy and avoid to pay for extra parts.

  • i wonder how the guy who drove it into the container got out...hmm

  • This truck came out really nice.

  • 3inch suspension lift on 38s?

  • @TheGreatWhiteTimmy Yes. The right way to do it. Get all the suspension and clearance with low center of gravity.

Putting a Truck 13 feet in the air is for people who have more money than sense and have no intention of ever actually going off-road.

  • Pretty epic

  • Can we have 'em in America please?

  • @TheCruzan92 Pay for shipping I'm sure they can accommodate you LOL.

  • @ToyotaObsession I couldn't even afford to title it.

  • Could I do this to a Rav 4? Lmfao.. serious question though..

  • @Liberty2431 yeah top gear used a camera car rav 4 modified like this

  • that things ugly as fuck

  • Technicals (almost always happen to be based on the Toyota Hilux) are widely used, and not just by the Taliban. It's one of the main vehicles of the Libyan rebel forces, for example.

  • @CrashJSTest I see. I'm sure it's a good news for Toyota’s publicity department.

  • que vergona la dejaron... felicito alos putos que la modificaron...xD

  • Unfortunately, I remember Taliban insurgents and terrorists whenever I see a Toyota pickup truck. They seem to love to use Toyota pickup trucks for some reason. I'm sure they have damaged Toyota's image. On the other hand, I think the customized one on the video enhances its image.

  • We get stuck with the inferior Tacoma and no diesel option in the U.S. Toyota was my favorite small truck in the 80s. Today they have nothing of interest to me. Well they do, but not in the U.S. Market!

  • i want that

  • Nobody makes a bad car, standards for all companys are very high. You guys dont look at the big picture...

  • the mitsubishi l200 and the toyota hylux and isuzu d-max are the best offroad trucks in the world, amrican trucks are made for carrying stuff and construction work, they good but when it comes to offroad all of them dodge ram, f150, sierra, silverado are far behind the japanese monsters, l200, hylux, and d max rules, it's like montero, land cruisers and nissan patrol, they rule in offroad.....the only amrican truck close to the japaneseis the f-150 raptor, and still falls behind

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • f 150 the most selling automobile in the world

  • @Amigero815 it's the best selling in the united states, not the world.

  • They don't allow Toyota to market this inside US cause cuz everybody will buy them and kill the BIG THREE :) nothing to be ashame about they make better cars

  • @pushitgently001p most people buy trucks to do work, not go to the north pole. Ford, GM, and Dodge all have better towing and payloud capasity than toyota. Plus toyota does not make a Heavy Duty truck. Toyota is no threat to the big three when it comes to trucks.

  • @masterlukes6000 the tundra is heavy duty and that thing almost beats a raptor

  • @Ichliebegermany 1 heavy duty trucks are like the Ford F-250 or the Chevy Silverado 2500. 2 the raptor is designed for off-roading, not towing. the other F-150 trims are designed to carry and tow more. The max towing for the F-150 is about 11,000 lbs. the max towing for the Tundra is about 8,000 lbs. I have no problem with there cars, I just realy don't like their trucks.

  • @masterlukes6000 technically, a f-250 is not heavy duty, or medium duty. its a light duty truck, class 2, which is considered light duty. class 1-3 is light duty GVW 0-12,000 lbs. 4-6 is medium duty GVW12,001-26,000 lbs and class 7-8 is heavy duty, 7 is 26,001-33,000 lbs and 8 is 33,001 and above.

  • But can the big 3's trucks take the same amount of abuse as the Truck Norris and drive away still functioning with minor adjustments?

  • @pushitgently001p Yeah, the excuse is that the Tacoma is "More Comfortable". Personally, I'd feel comfortable knowing my truck could go anywhere, do anything and probably outlive me.

  • @pushitgently001p ...or simply because hardly anyone would buy it since it isn't practical for the average person and the fuel efficiency would go right out the window. They do however sell their regular trucks which the enthusiast can modify within the confines of the law. Your reasoning is flawed.

  • @pushitgently001p Toyota sells the Tacoma here which is extremely popular and very similar to the Hilux

  • @desertfox2020 without the diesel. If they had a big diesel truck, they would destroy the competition

  • @pushitgently001p Toyota doesnt sell the Hilux in the US because everyone in the US wants an enormous V8 muscle truck that cant park in a single space. If they sold the Hilux here it would fail because your average American hates the idea of a non V8 truck.

  • sexy

  • i love how people try to diss toyota trucks in general when time and time again they prove to be better then any other truck. for instance Toyota Hilux, 3 of them went to the north pole, and those are the only cars that have gone there. secondly it has gotten closest to a volcano haha.but toyota trucks are the best truck out there. hands down. no point even trying to insult them, shows your ignorance and studitiy

  • Sex

  • Damnit. I thought my truck was badass, but than i had to go and watch this video and ruin it.

  • Yes it is absolute the big 4 paying/politics keeping hilux's out of U.S. Not to mention Nissans Patrol, India's Mahindra and Both China and Honda are working on own 4-6 cyclinder diesels. Peace-corp pilots swear by these damn things. the U.S. toyotas are gut-less compared to what you can get in other countries.

Only Dodge thats worth a crap is the cummins. And really guys the I6 Mercedes builds is light weight and high-revving. MAzda supposedly has new 3-4 diesel coming.

  • how did the driver get out of the truck after driving it into container?

  • @Gargarensisspire He didn't he comes with the trucks for free :D. As your own personel mechanic

  • @Gargarensisspire they just shipped him with it lol

  • @Gargarensisspire -Prob a werry smal Japanese inside off it...

  • @Gargarensisspire He doesn't.

  • I use to own a dodge ram hemi. only had driven it 3k miles, the tranny went out! wtf! only drives toyotas and lexus now.

  • All you Americans saying that the Dodge Ram is a better truck than this really do not get out much do you? Seriously, there's being patriotic, and then there's being just plain stupid. I don't know how you manage to be so closed up in your own little world that you havn't yet realised; any car made by Americans for Americans, can be easily beaten both style and performance wise by European and Asian manufactured vehicles. It's the truth, and everyone except you seems to know it.

  • @no1doesitlikeme not all americans like rams. most know that dodge is pretty garbage, thats why they are failing. super expensive and not reliable. all the dodge fan boys just like to yell loud about theyre trucks, its the same reason why they plaster cummins stickers and smoke stacks on them.

  • @BigGixxerUSA I know you're talking about pickups, but you can't really say that all Dodge cars suck.

I mean, the Dodge Charger ('69, '68) was one of the best muscle cars of its time.

  • @thedevo01 oh, the old mopar were great. but im talking about the new cars they do. like the 90's dodge vehicles were pretty awful. i know, my folks had one when i was growing up

  • @no1doesitlikeme thats not true dodge rams are garbage mixed with sewer

  • @no1doesitlikeme Really, get a Defender!

  • @MattersofSize1 Haha!! You make me laugh, Dude! Defender-schmender.

You would not even make it out of town in that piece of shit, let alone tackle a volcanic mountain! Wake up! Toyotas rule! You must be a pom?

  • @MegaRudeness

I would put my Defender up against any Toyota...Lets have a competition and see! Your Toyota against my Defender...winner takes the others car:) I am not in porn but I do own Matters of Size :)

  • I'd replace those Cepek tires with Swamper TSL's or Boggers, but other than that.......... PERFECT!

  • FROM MONSTER TO BEAST

  • Russians by rule)

  • Had a 79 corona 398k then sold it. Have 89 sr5 4x4 pickup w/325k on a 3vz and still runnin strong. But I curse the powers that be who forbid us having the yoder diesel. Rented a Hilux down in Ozz and & it was AWESOME! Gods of 4x4 why doth thou mock us Yanks so!!

  • sexxxxxy

  • i have a boner for those trucks and im not ashamed to say it

  • I lust for one of these. Watch the entire Top Gear video where they drive these to the North Pole. Amazing trucks, damn I want one!!

  • Toyjunkyota's are not worth the Chinese scrap metal there made out of, worst truck ever owned next to a nissian.

  • @Chevyrulzz1 You do know, that post 95 the US made the body and chassis for the US market trucks, right? Pre-95, the beds were made here. The trucks came into Cali, where the beds met them at the dock. So, the primary part that rusted out, was made of american steel. Let's not forget the most indestructible model they made. The FJ40. Stop buying refugees from junkyards. They're there for a reason.

  • @FTORC1 These idiots still think their precious "American" made vehicles are still made here. Hell the Japs probably have more things built in America than the supposed American company's. Wake up ya dumbass's everything is farmed out to Mexico, and Canada. Your precious American made is assembled here at best with Mexico, Canadian, and Chinese parts. The big three went after the UAW in the 60's after they killed off Studebaker, thats why nothing auto wise is made here any more. SOLDOUT AMERICA

  • @Tarten46 I was in an argument with a guy about "made in america". He claimed that a particular american auto maker, employed more americans than Toyota. I gave him some statistics. In fact, Toyota employed more than 2x the number than the "american" auto maker in question. GM's trucks, built by Isuzu (still completely foreign). Chrysler, well Mitsubishi was their engineers for years. Ford, mostly Canada, Mexico, China, and India. Toyota? 75% of their operation is US based now.

  • @FTORC1 It sucks how much this country has been sold out. The brain dead think it's American just because it say's so on the grill. My stepdads 3 year old Dodge 4x4 is interesting. Nowhere on it does the word Dodge appear. Say's hemi, ram, and theres a ram caricature; but know where does it say DODGE on it. People miss this kind of shit even thou it's right in front of em. Every time I see a successfull jap brand I see Douglas MacAurthur chugging on his corncobb pipe.He taught them to export.

  • @Tarten46 My favorite were the people who bought pontiacs and chevy cars. "I bought this car, because it's american". They were right, but for the wrong reasons. It was made in america, by Toyota. Vibe = Matrix, Malibu = Corolla, Aveo = Yaris, Aveo 5 door (replaced vibe) = still a matrix. So many of them, never even opened the hood or looked at the door panel. Engine cover said "Toyota" right on it. Door tag, "Built by Toyota, for General Motors". GM hasn't made their own junk for over 30 years.

  • @FTORC1 The scarry thing is how stupid do you have to be to fall for that shit. I keep a American flag decal on the back of my Impreza, I love it when these patriots want to talk shit about that. It does bring them out of the wood work. Back in my younger days I drove Mopar muscle cars religously. Chrysler documented their cars better than other makers. A assembly line build sheet could be found under one of the seats. 9 out of 10 times the car was Canadian biuld, so much for detroit muscle.

  • @Tarten46 I used to work at a Toyota dealership. I always liked the fact, that they label their vehicles with exactly how much of it, comes from where. And they display it with pride, right on the window sticker. For instance, a lot of the Tundras are 90%+ made, manufactured, and assembled in the US. Popular plants are in West Virginia and Oregon. I saw one come in, that was 98% made in the USA. The springs and steering linkages came out of Tokyo.

  • @FTORC1 Toyota builds a fine product. Have two close relatives that are toyota techs. Dad has owned a number of Toyota's starting back in theearly 70's with the FJ-40. Toyota is proud todo buisnes in the states and they do it right. If Top Gears attempt to kill a Toyota dosent raise your eyebrows nothing will. My last Toyota was a 80 Cressida which was a way cool ol car. I see it in traffic from time to time, and people break their necks trying to figure out what it is.

  • hey did you guys order some IcE, cuz i thought you might need some IcE

  • why not just get a monster truck?

  • after he parks the truck how does he get out?

  • all this work

  • 2:03

One question. How does the driver get out??

or does he get shipped with the truck?? LOL

  • You can never kill a Toyota that is why so many are sold around the world.. But a RAM .. peice of shit!

  • Anyone know what was done to the engine?

  • @forestplumb changed it for 3.0 liter diesel i think but go on their internet site all the information is there. I badly want one of these!

  • were can i buy that esact truck

  • @kirtass13 finn.no

  • Chuck Norris don't need one of the trucks. He could pull those trucks across the ice. .......with his teeth.

  • Top Gear: But why the Hilux and not the Dodge Ram?

  • @bbxcobra Dodge is the absolute worst car maker in the entire world. That's why.

  • that modified hilux would have to be the toughest car in the world... bar none.

  • should have just used a landrover, would've saved alot of money.

  • @mopar19876 Landrovers are a giant pile of crap

  • Comment removed

  • christ i didnt realise it that much work done to it! i thought it was just lifted, new wheels and a few other bits!

  • Santas Ride!

  • @muzz219 A Ram would fall apart. If not through the ice first.

  • @edersiomoran IDK i have a ram 1500 That I beat the living shit out of and the only that that is a huge fail is the body which rusted out :( but looking into a toyota truck now :)

  • @edersiomoran IF you think that this is better than a Ram you are terribly wrong, Rams are more metal than this delicate toyota, its better for the snow just because is lighter, the only toyota capable to stand up the ram is the first generation of hilux.

  • @edersiomoran 1 year ago i went to Eyjafjallajokull vulcano with my brother and a few friends . we drove toyota hilux . i saw a few dodge rams going there too and believe me man , i would pickup dodge ram over toyota from what i saw .

  • @edersiomoran Sounds like you have no clue about cars

  • @icelandic1995 Ever been to Michigan? Cars there rust because of the snow. Btw, I work at a Ford stamping plant. So yeah, I have a clue about cars.

  • @edersiomoran na. a non modded ram could do it.

  • Only a Toyota would survive on the North Pole!

  • im going to drive to santa with this car

  • mother of god that thing is sexy

  • i have one of that ! see in my chanell

  • Awesome! Iceland ftw

  • dear santa

  • @andysim232 every1 says this stupid comment...

  • how much pressure is applied to that wheels?

  • @seaboo143 about 30 pounds

  • BADASS!!!!

  • YOTA!!!!! Tacos are nice but I got the Tundra. Loving the vid and my YOTA!

  • What is the point to buy new Hilux if only headlamps and radio left??

  • they are the coolest

  • did they just take the stock wheels off and replaced them with big ones with stock engine?

  • How did dude get out after driving it into the shipping container?

    Cool truck.

  • Did they build the Hilux in Iceland???

  • you CANNOT KILL A TOYOTA! they are almost indestructible hahaha.

  • I'm major pissed off that we can't get Hillux in North America. They are by far the best pickup I've ever driven

  • @DarrylBG I agree... Hiluxes are the total package. Big, powerful enough and still very cheap, specially for an american person who, I guess, must have a wide range of american pick up trucks, but very heavy and expenssive. Isn't it so?

  • @DarrylBG I live in Virginia and bought a 94 hilux 4x4 in 94 with a 22re four bangger. I think toyota only made the hilux between 89 - 94 in the USA...over seas they had more options like 8 cylinder, crew cabs and diesels. But i agree with you toyota pickups are damn good trucks. P. S. my old 94 has 223,000 miles and still going.

  • lets see a stupid jeep do that. Thanks again toyota.

  • @officergrizly2 my xj could have done that from the factory! give me a break, that was a pethetic test to such a highly built truck.

  • Curious how a Ford Raptor would do out there? Besides the required cold weather equipment that would need to be fitted.

  • @nosgulcivic theyd need to fit larger tires on it. itd just spin like crazy on the baja tires. and the better question btw is how would a Hennessey Raptor 600 would do. :)

  • @rtepic probably breakdown or break the ice...just jokin the raptor is a badass too.

  • Do they come in black!!

  • I am a lanny man but these 4x4's just takes the biscuit, would love one of these.....

  • hey ! wer can i get the plans man > ? ? cool !
