I would say that Michael Bolton sounds a little like Michael Grimm, not the other way around. This is the real deal. Bolton is just a voice. Feel the difference.

When JE was 9 she placed 2nd to Christopher Dallo (tenor). She has other 2nd place finishes. During JE's Dec X-mas concert tour she had a guest, Christopher Dallo. JE is the headlining David Foster w/Jackie Evancho & Friends (LV, 29 Dec). Perhaps one of the friends will be Michael Grimm. MG & JE are friends and stay in touch. That would be cool!

@dannyll15 I'm not trying to change your opinion about your favorite (we all have one), but if you listen to Michael Grimm Live at the Green Valley Ranch here on YT (a bunch of songs he sang in Vegas) you may realize that pure talent, not pity, won for him. He is one talented man, even if you prefer the great novelty acts. FG is great, but singing seems to touch more people personally and that may be why he got more votes last year.
I voted for him for his awesome soulful voice, it had nothing to do with pity.. FG was great but they got boring after a couple of performances.. He's the definition of true, raw talent.. The guy has a voice that is a cross between Ray Charles and Otis Redding and if you watch some vids on here he's one kick ass blues guitar player as well. He won for his talent and nothing else

It's a religious expression coming out from their faiths and they're just giving Michael their best wishes for success. It's no different from Christians/Catholics saying God Bless Michael. @kaylamckinnon1995 Oops - your ugly side is showing. And talent covers so much territory. Would you banish the dancers to dancing shows, and magicians to just their competitions? What you'd have left is old-timey talent shows from the 50s, which I saw plenty of when I was a child because there were only 3 stations! The variety of talent on AGT is great, but haven't you figured out yet that singers often touch a personal cord in the most people each year?
@brandon38136 After listening to him for a year now on his cds, tv shows, and lots of the videos here on YT, I don't hear that at all! I liked Bolton pretty well back at his high point many years ago, but I hear so much more in MG's voice today. His talent is remarkable to me, like Rndy09 said.
Well... Though Jackie is definitely incredible for her age (there's no denying it) he is technically much more musically talented... On top of his awesome soulful vocals, he's actually a pretty great guitar player (type in michael grimm guitar talk) and he's a great song writer (listen to "the reason") Personally, I'm not a big opera fan, I like his voice much better, but that's just me.
Awe. He seems so sad. It's sweet. That puppy dog look will really do wonders for him. You can tell he went through some terrible things. And the emotion comes out in his music. That's why he is a beautiful singer. I just hope fame doesn't change too much about him.

Well... Though Jackie is definitely incredible for her age (there's no denying it) he is technically much more musically talented... On top of his awesome soulful vocals, he's actually a pretty great guitar player (type in michael grimm guitar talk) and he's a great song writer (listen to "the reason") Personally, I'm not a big opera fan, I like his voice much better, but that's just me.

Awe. He seems so sad. It's sweet. That puppy dog look will really do wonders for him. You can tell he went through some terrible things. And the emotion comes out in his music. That's why he is a beautiful singer. I just hope fame doesn't change too much about him.
