When we go into things like looking at the best centre back ever we can dissect it even further... like just with the 3 given, I'd say they're all best in their own right, i.e. Moore was the best leader at centre back and all that entails, Adams was the best actual defender, and Hansen going forward was unbeatable. You can pick which one you'd have but for me with his mix of superb defending and skill going forward I'd always take Hansen!

He was like an extra midfielder when he came out! Due to the fact that no one was marking him explicitly (as he was a CB) a man had to come towards him when he dribbled out with the ball, and leave the man they were marking, thus creating space for the man to move into and set an attack off. You see Lucio do it a lot in more recent times

I think upfront you have a point, but anywhere else on the pitch I could name at least 1 replacement.

Look who Spurs have injured at the moment just in midfield: Lennon, Huddlestone, Kranjcar and Pienaar (last 2 are fit now I think) and yet even with all that talent out players like Sadro and VdV are struggling to fit in.

And then at the back they have players like Dawson, Gallas, Bassong, Corluka and Rose as replacements..

They struggled last season because they didn't have squad depth, Harry was talking about winning the title and they didn't even make the top four. This season they didn't make nearly enough signings to mount another bid for the top four whereas livepool completely revamped the squad. Trust me, liveprool will finish above tottenham this season.
