@gunscankillyou All the games they showed are freeware games so they wouldn't have to worry about copyright infringement (although they did show some sort of Metroid clone, but I guess that's fair game).
@neurocrater i don't think he meant educational learning but was just talking about how in video games people need to learn a lot of things (controls, how to complete certain objectives, ie what weapons to use vs which characters or what spells etcetc you pick up a lot of things. i have learned a lot about wc3, but that knowledge isn't very applicable outside.
I like it. I wish colleges would use video games in their study methods; it'd make learning a lot more fun. although it would be a challenge to create such a game (even a crappy game) for many subjects and have the games be effective in teaching as well.

this was recorded after Halo: Reach was released and when he said "Modern games" they showed what i think an America's Army game, like WTF?!
