Jimmy Carter wrote a book a few years ago comparing Israel to south Africa under apartheid. Carter is also the reason we have Iran in the Axis of Evil.The Shah of Iran was a Muslim and America's best friend in the region outside of Israel. The liberals protested against him because he was "too harsh" on terrorists (sound familiar?). Carter refused to help him when the Ayahtollah Kockamamie revolted. Carter was very anti-military, but at least he wasn't a Communist. Obama makes him look great.
