  • love dis Song, tnks man :)

  • Hey fellow southern gospel music lovers. Want to have some fun. Listen to the first version of this when Shane sang with the group then listen to this one when Ryan Sings. It is just so cool what one change can do. I think Ryan really added to the sound this group has. I also liked roy on piano much better than the original pianist, and hated to se him go, but wish him godspeed and all the best in his career pursuit. May God continue to bless EHSS and all of you who love southern gospel.

  • You are so right, medicineman. Shane was good, but when he sang, there was no life in his performance- it was like he was just singing the words. Ryan put so much more life into this song. The whole performance back in '03, I think, was just like any other gospel group- they dressed alike, there was no choreography, and no real fun in the song. I miss Roy too, but I pray he's doing well. I do love this group!

  • I like the pianist ... can someone tell me his name?? thanks

  • Roy Webb is the pianists name.

  • @MySamik yeah, roy webb. he's not with them anymore, its sad b/c i liked him

  • Great singers, of course.

  • Top voice ....cool !!

  • Hey guys, yours is not dance (lol), just jockin', you're so fonny.

  • WOW!!!

  • These guys really know how to praise God, and have fun at the same time. these boys have alot of energy they use for God not just the money.

  • love it!!

    stand by me lord!!

  • if this song dont light your fire your wood is wet

  • I loved the Cathedrals and their music. I'm so glad that Signature Sound came along to continue this awesome sound in Southern Gospel music. When the first word came out of the bass singers mouth I was so blessed and couldn't help but say they sound like the Cathedrals. I can't praise the Lord enough for giving these guys such an awesome gift to be able sing like this. It's amazing how God created such a range of human voices. Obviously his design so we could sing our praises to Him in harmony.

  • Great job! As far as dancing we all know that dancing is Biblical! Dancing in celebration to the Lord is different than dancing provocatively. I remember the first time our church choir sang a song with the word dance in it and some of the older members would not even say the word. We Christians are critical of almost EVERYTHING.

  • You are so right. Even in the Bible it mentions dancing for the Lord. The devil always takes something that was intended to praise GOD and use it in an evil way. He does the same with music. Music was created to praise God and the devil stepped in on that also. There's definetly nothing wrong in their dancing, I'm so glad to see there are still people who understand this. My pastor is 80 years old and still dances for the Lord. God bless you. We need no legalism in the Church, it only hurts us.

  • I've loved this song ever since way back when George Younce sang it with the Blue Ridge Quartet. These guys do a great job with it, and the bass (Tim Duncan?) is awesome, one of the best bass voices I've ever heard!

  • You know this issue people seem to have with dancing is rather singing since the idea of not dancing is unbiblical and actually is a reaction to liberalism. Why do you fear so much? God didn't give us a Spirit of fear, my friends. Now there are numerous accounts that state that dancing is pleasing to the Lord so relax. You can enjoy things with out constant making yourself think toward God. If you truely have the Spirit in you, such act will come natural.

  • Performing gospel songs for your own glory and approval is wrong. The glory belongs only to the Lord. At first I had a bit of trouble accepting Ernie's choreographics but I have to believe these young men want to truly praise the Lord.

  • Allowing the Holy Spirit to enter the body and showing it is different from "dancing" to me! And, even though they are singing for the Lord, and feeling the Spirit, they are also entertainers. They have lead many to the Lord, I would imagine, by captivating their audience and allowing the Spirit to take over the building.

Just my view on it. I have to follow my convictions and allow others to follow theirs.

  • I love this group! you guys keep on singing and praising the Lord! God Bless : )

  • they are great, saw them with bill gaither in greensboro n.c. a couple months ago and loooking to them again

  • these guys are real Christian showmen.they put on a great show and sing some of the best Gospel music I've ever heard.

they're not drunks or crackhead,no tatoos either.......

but they can beat the devil back down with the best of em!!

We need more men like this in the entertainment world.

high fives to all you guys!!

  • This song is awesome!

  • Excellant !

  • I think comparing dancing to there music is absurd. If you don't feel the music and tap yur foot to the beat yur dead! That is all they are doing to stay in sync with each other and to some may appear as dancing.. Who wants to watch someone sing and stand there like a post? Its intended for gospel insperation and entertainmen for heavens sake!

  • There's nothing wrong with conservative dancing. If you read the Bible, even David danced before the Lord. (2 Sam. 6:14)And he danced naked. Psalms tells us to praise the Lord with the dance (Psalm 150:4). This is such a great song. I really enjoy their music.

  • GVB doesn't do choreography at all. I think they are more reserved regarding gospel music. Truthfully, the dancing bothered me in the beginning but Ernie, Ryan, Doug and Tim are clearly strong Christian young men. Their style notwithstanding they are the best Gospel Quartet ever.

  • If it does nothing for you then you are dead! The words alone are enough to help me make it tru a day. My thought are that your getting too old to keep up.

  • superbe bass....simply love it

  • Signiture Sound are the best quartet I have ever heard since The Heralds of the SDA Church. What a heavenly medley of vocal talent. Notice how Ryan is a dead ringer for Prince William?

  • probably because he's excited :)

  • for tabykat025 esti dea mea;)

  • Yes it is great that Ernie has a bass as good as his wonderful Father in law The late great George Younce. Tim is brilliant and we can understand him

  • i love these guys!

  • Does it annoy anyone else that Tim brings the mike back and forth? Or is it just me?

    Love this qurartet though!!!

    God Bless!!!

  • its to control the volume of his voice in the microphone. when you get louder you pull the mic away from your mouth to keep the balance in sound and really not to blow anybodys ears out. it may be annoying but for your listening pleasure it should be appreciated. LOL alot of singers do this.

  • i love the beritone

  • perryhelen53

Ernie really has a good group. The bass is excellent. So are the rest of them. They all look young that they should last a while. At least until the rapture. Praise God.

  • Love how Ryan comes in strong on the last reprise...

  • I am sorry but that Tim & his voice are two BEAUTIFUL things!!!!!!!

  • @Crazy4ThatBassTim I agree! God Bless You!! Gwen

  • LOVIN THE BASE!!!!

  • Geweldig gewoon zoals deze mannen zingen.

Ik wil ze Gods rijke zegen toewensen.

  • God stand by me...

    EHSS!you guys are rock!!

  • STAND BY ME...

  • cool they take turns to be the backround singer hope we reach heaven

  • u rock!

  • great song i love it!

  • you forgot about Roy :) - 1970

  • the guys years of Birth for those whom were wondering:

    Ernie Haase Tenor - 1964

    Ryan Seaton Lead - 1979

    Doug Anderson Barritone - 1975

    Tim Duncan Bass - 1971

But remember showing excitment in the Lord knows no age limit! Let there be praise as they want to prasie!

  • Oh Lord! Oh Lord! Oh Lord!!! Stand by me!! lalalalalalala

  • yeah ernie he sings very gooooood

  • amen!!

  • how old is tim? kinda random but i wanna know.

anyways, love these guys! i dont care what anyone else says, they are good!

  • he just turned 37 on August 2nd

  • dude he can sing low

  • Love these guys, they are down to earth, basketball loving, family loving Christians. Love their music & hope it inspires young ones in their lives.

  • u can't appreciate these kind of music if you don't have Jesus in your heart...happy to have Jesus..

  • I think they are great. Ryan is actually 28 and Doug is not much older than him. They are in great shape to be their ages. They are getting the message across while showing that it can be fun.

  • What do you have against men being filled with the spirit? These men that not only enjoy singing but the enjoy the message they are putting out there. I love watching these guys. They know what its about.

  • You are a joke. He is hip, you are just jeolous because you can't do what he's done for the past 25 years

  • cajunjuli did not make this remark. Someone else used my account.

  • they sing so good thanx mooddoggy22 u roc!!!!!

  • This is just fantastic music praising the lord and it shows Christians can enjoy themselves at the same time, you don't have to be of the world to have fun

  • tim duncan is the best bassest evr!

  • I'm not so sure about that.. I'll give Duncan credit; he is very good, but I don't think anyone can touch the late, great George Younce; in my book Younce ranks among the best bass singers of all time.

  • ive nvr herd of him... im not so big on s.g.

  • 'till I reach that home in glory,

    Lord stand by me...

  • I love this song. They`re very good. GOB BLESS ERNIE HAASE AND SSQ.

  • Wow ! What a great sound ! They are almost as good as the Statesmen ! ......Almost....LOL

  • they sing to praise the lord and u dont know they like to give a crowd awonderful tme okay!!!!!!!

  • will spend eternity. Now I know that this is not a popular idea for he world to confront. But Truth is truth no matter how much man chooses to deceive himself about it.

Second, when you look at life from the perspective of eternity, what may be considered a tragedy to the world may not be so at all. God says this world is only a preparation for eternity. Therefore if a person dies suddenly at a young age, it may be a blessing rather than a curse.

  • oops. i don't know why it posted that many times. srry bout that. and for those who might be wondering, that was in response to jacksonflashman.

  • How could you not love these guys??

I sure would love to see them in person...

  • Wish you the same luck that I had.

Never thought my dream would come

true but it has happened !!! <3

    Don´t give up !!! :-)

  • I did see them a few times with the Gaither Homecoming group, but I got to have a chance to see just them 4....THEY ARE AWESOME! AND they interact with the fans. What made my night, I met Ernie and got to have my picture taken with him.......he's one of the sweetest guys I have ever known, also, the sexiest!!

  • LORD would you stand by me ,because i need you .AMEN

  • Marianne, the Lord is standing by you, even though you may not 'feel' it (although sometimes you do. and He does things for out ultimate best, even when we cannot understand his way. for example, many people were killed in the tsunami several years ago; I have heard the theory (& to me it's viable) that had these people not died when they did, they would not have accepted him in their lives; ultimately, God was being merciful to them. His ways are not ours.

  • your statement is a terrible example for the cynism often displayed by religious people. what a terrible thing to say... or to truly believe. like drowning in a damn monsterwave or losing your children, parents, loved ones is merciful... unbelievable. just an unbelievably horrible thing to say.

  • barbsinbos is right. Although the things that God allows to happen may not seem to make sense, and sometimes can almost seem cruel, He has a plan. i just lost two close friends in a house fire last month. i know that God has a purpose for allowing that to happen. i don't know what it is right now, but i am trusting Him to follow what He told us in Romans 8:28, where He said that "all things work together for good to them that love God. Marianne, whatever your need is, know that God loves you and

is standing by you. His plan is not always clear, but it will work out for the better. Just trust Him and pray, and He will bless you and help you, and will, well, stand by you. Trust Him and praise him no matter the circumstances.

  • If you aren't aware of who Hal Lindsey is, he has written many major and reputable books on Bible prophecy, including "The Late Great Planet Earth". He is a graduate of the Dallas Theological Seminary (a major well known school which has produced outstanding & reputable Bible scholars and pastors. The quote from Hal Lindsey is the following:

"You see, from Gods perspective the ultimate tragedy is not the age or nature of your death. The ultimate tragedy is to die without resolving where you

  • whatever. you guys can continue to rate my comment negatively just it's another opinion than yours... you wouldn't believe how bizarre the things you theorize about seem for somebody who has a neutral and not religiously-influenced view on the world... anyway... different strokes for different folks. i just think that your comment was terrible...not looking for endless and most probably fruitless discussions.

  • Jackson...I personally didn't rate your comment at all!!! the system on youtube wouldn't allow me to post my entire response...y'know...to know the Lord is the Most Important thing in the world for anyone...a blind beggar dying of AIDS in Africa who knows the Lord is richer than a Sheik in Saudia Arabia who doesn't know Him...I will keep you in my prayers...with Christian love...Barbara (saved for o'my gosh...47 years)

  • The Bible teaches that if a person dies before the age of accountability, he is automatically covered by the atonement of Jesus Christ because he didn't have the ability to make a decision. There are many people in heaven from the Tsunami that wouldn't have been there if they had lived out their life."

Last,I am not a Biblical scholar myself, but I think there are many examples in the Bible of how the Lord cut short a person's life(let him die)before he sealed his own fate for eternity.

  • Tim Duncan is so impressive... You know you normally see this big guy up there belting the notes and here walks out a 5"11 guy (if even that)that can gurth up the notes just as well as the old favorites. Such an awesome guy too. He has good things coming for him. God bless.

  • It si too long to be posted here so i put it on the Website of our gospel choir.

    thechristians[dot]de[slash]OHlordstandbyme[dot]pdf

  • Verse:

Now there's a time, We feel alone, Although we've done no wrong,(Done no wrong), Oh Lord, (Oh Lord), Oh Lord, stand by me (Lord stand by me) And there's a time, We stand the test, Lord, you know we've done our best, (Done our best), Oh Lord, (Oh Lord), Oh Lord, stand by me (Lord stand by me)

  • wow they are so cool

  • can any one post the lyrics on here

  • Actually Ernie started with his father-in-law George Younce in the Cathedrals and was mentored by many great older singers and groups, and yes lets not for get God says if you are out in the world and you can dance before the devil then you should also SING and DANCE before me in praise in the spirit and holy ghost.. some people and thier up bringings are so backwards... and for those i will pray!

  • I didn't know that George Younce was Ernie's father in law. Is he really...

  • yup. he sure is.

  • I love to watch them (and of course listen to them)! They have such high energy and it's so encouraging and uplifting! They're awesome!

  • He made a change is better...hehe

  • None of you people have any idea what your talking about. If they want to dance thenm let them. They look great doing it......and they sound great. JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE! They aren't the only group to ever dance you know. Do you go around saying not nice things about them too??? LEAVE ERNIE HAASE AND SIGNATURE SOUND ALONE!

  • Right on luckystar! They dance to the songs because it's holy spirit thats doing it.

Besides, they look so sexy dancing....expecially Ernie!!!

  • Besides, they look so sexy dancing....expecially Ernie!!!

Hee !!! :-) I love how they dance. Why should

they not dance when it makes everybody in the

    room just happy.

  • Please do not judge all American christians by the few you've heard of. I am a born again American christian and I do not feel that way about dancing, although I do not ENJOY it myself. Read your bible about David dancing before the Lord!

  • you need to find God..... it talks in the bible about dancing and praising God!! this group is outstanding!!!!!!

  • great song i love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NISALIP..........I don't think you really know what your talking about. If all you are watching is them move around then your really not even listening to the word/msgs in the song. PEOPLE NEED TO SPEND MORE TIME LISTENING TO THE SONG RATHER THAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY "DANCE" ALL THE TIME. LUV YOU GUYS KEEP ON SINGING........AND TIM........THE LOWER THE BETTER!!!!!!

  • well i think that all this dance stuff depends of you, if you really dance because you feel the song and you have joy to dance then not is bad but if you dance only because you want move your body or just to copy someone then i think not is good

and this is my personal opinion

  • I think that there is nothing wrong with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound whether they are singing and dancing or whether they are just singing. People should be listening to the messages in the songs not just paying attention to the dancing. These four guys are the most amazing people to watch and listen too.
