@drummrath2 Well, their voices ARE really different, but if you listen to a high-energy, upbeat song by each band, Derek kinda just starts yelling and doesn't really sound nearly as good as he does acoustic. Whereas Jason can pull off acoustic AND nail those difficult high notes in a full show.

@elijahsnyder Derek can sing poppier songs better than Jason. Jason's voice doesn't work well with pop songs, whereas Derek's does. Both singers have areas where they excel and where they don't. Unless they are very similar, it comes down to a matter of opinion, which can't be used to judge talent.

I love Mayday but I'm going to be honest, Jason wrote these lyrics, he's so much more talented than what Derek will ever be and I'm glad he left and formed another band, he didn't get enough credit in Mayday at all =] <3

Man Jason Lancaster got married, lost 30 pounds, got tatoos and big holes in his ears, and lost all of his hair. He's hardly recognizable besides his incredible distinced voice. I hope they record together again.

I've seen mayday parade 3 times now when go radio played at a concert they sang this together it makes me wish they wouldn't had slip up but now I have mayday parade and go radio which I love both greatly :)
