He recommends a restaurant where the workers just lost their manufacturing jobs. The reason he said he is treated as a VIP and got the special service because when Nixon left office he got Secret Service for life and he got a police escort each time he went to places. The worst thing the Republican Congress did in 1997 to save money was end lifetime protection for Former Presidents and their spouses.
