the 3 people that "disliked" this song obviously don't know what the fuck reality is.. Britt and the rest of Spoon are phenomenal talents that I feel lucky to have discovered way back when..
i am always so happy when someone shows me something i've never seen. this is so wonderfully amazing. thank you for sharing. Spoon has been my favorite band for over a decade. They just keep getting better, every move they make.
i don't wanna over react to a backstage performance of the last track on an album but there was something really nice about that. I've seen them live twice this year and i have all their albums and i know how good they/he are/is. i think he's guitar playing is a real highlight here. i knew he had this performance in him but it's been captured perfectly here. well played britt.
Just saw their gig 2 days ago in Amsterdam and they are a real live band. This is the ultimate proof. Funny end conversation.."where's Dorian's?". "Portland, boot repair".
Gayest band ever i was looking for a song called i like to spoon sounds kind of funky anyone know it/can send me a link? message me it since the myspace nazis will rate me into oblivion for insulting their God.
Best band/song ever. I've watched this video a thousand times, and I sit in front of my computer and play the song with him note for note. I never get tired of hearing his voice. Spoon is so underrated! Spread the love!
@gimmefiction14 I've always felt Spoon was slightly underrated as well. They are such a great band, and Britt Daniels voice defines the very essence of Rock n' Roll for me.
Just came back from visiting Portland went to see the Walkmen and Beach House, it was one of the most beautiful places i have been to. Dorians boot repair happened to be around the block from my hotel. i couldn't believe it, Dorians a nice guy and he hooked me up with a sweet pair of boots. He also said i missed britt by a day! shucks!
I saw the watched the Walkmen in Seattle a couple years ago. Britt was playing some small venue in a bar a few weeks after that. Fuck! I couldn't go though because you had to be twenty one to get in. I wish I had been born a few months earlier!
on the up and up, however, Britt Daniel is excellent (as always). He did another acoustic set as part of a Portland, OR comp CD with other portlandish artists. He covers sam cooke's "bring it on home", I think.
I'm pretty sure this song is named after the book of the same name. Which is about a white guy who undergoes a medical procedure to look like a black man, and the experiences he had.

Friday the 13th, June 2008 was nothing but lucky for Portland area music fans as Spoon, The Presidents of the USA and Nada Surf rocked
the lawn at Edgefield in Troutdale. Sunshine and 73 degrees made the weather as perfect as the music from three bands at the top of their
game. With a fat horn section (god bless the boy on baritone sax), Spoon sounded at times like "Honky Tonk Women" era Rolling Stones and
at other times like '80s era Madness. A live band not to be missed!

More than a little bit of John Lennon in this kid. Will see the band tonight on the lawn at McMenamin's Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon.
