Also, Arabic is not an easy language to learn, actually possibly one of the hardest for a Brit because it is so different from most European languages. Do you really think Raef at his young age would have the time to learn Arabic from scratch, and for what reason would he have learnt it, to go on holiday? I think it is far more likely that he developed his understanding of Arabic at home.

This does not mean that Raef can definately only "understand" Arabic and French. It is quite ambiguous, but given it says advanced I would think he could speak or maybe write in those languages as well. I just don't get it, where is the evidence that he is Anglo-Portuguese, apart from an alleged biography in some tabloid?

In the laundry task, when he was team lead, he had the whole team wanting to do a good job. Posh boy or not, that in itself is a rare quality in any individual and Raef had it. The program editor's would have shown any conflicts as it makes good TV, but there weren't any to show in his team. Rare indeed.

He also showed he is a good sport and took jokes at his expense (and joined in with the laughter) from his fellow contestants about his accent in the celebratory meal.
