you guys have no idea where she came from. Discount was the band that got me through life. she was rocking it way before the kills and everything else. I can still remember the first I saw discount in Oct 1996 they opened for "The Red Ants" and she was singing behind a pole not wanting to look at the 20 people in the crowd and I fell in love with her. Antaxias Alright Tonight the album was awesome THEN came Half Fiction. KV TShirt best Discount song ever. I cried my heart out after the last show
@dextradl they were so great. the Wonder Pulled me Under 7" rarely left my turntable in 1996/97. fantastic live band. the songs have so much depth and sound even better now to me than they did then. I conducted a pair of lengthy interviews with Alison and Bill for different zines, and they were really interesting and nice people. 'on the tracks' is still my favorite Discount song.
oh god oh god oh god HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG

I love how Alison is a cross between vulnerable tomboy, geek, and rock goddess. Fuckin' rocks my world.
