  • how do you exactly 'launch' a car? explain

  • Good Launch! I think I've pulled it off a few times. When you get it right it flies.

  • Did you use a stick or the flappy paddles?

  • @Anoush13

    manual

  • Damn!!! That was such a BRUTAL acceleration!!

  • i got a 4.7 second this is great!!!! Best launch that I've seen on youtube...

  • my titan bounces like that too, hmm must b a Nissan thing...lol

  • how the fuck people can hate on this one ....

  • hey man that was great launch!

well i think the best on youtube XD

well i think about buy 1

your 370 was tuned bro?.. or normal?

  • wheel hop lol, needs some suspension mods!

  • sounds like your bouncing

  • that was freaking awesome o.O

    great 370z

  • So what?

  • launch control ftw! unless its just stick

  • nice

  • u can do better =)

nice car man luv 370z !!!

  • what is the exact time, i keep getting 6.2 sec

  • @superfly1842

maybe you're counting from the beginning of the video? the 0-60 doesn't start until just over 3 seconds in the video...........

  • @superfly1842

    exact time is 4.7 seconds

  • @ShinKtu 5secs nice. so thats a nismo?

  • @ShinKtu no way. it's around or ove 5 secs. Starts exactly at 3.0

  • @NearTheLimits nope it starts at 3.3 to 3.5 secs and reaches 60 around the 8 to 8.2 secs, so that gets the car 0-60 at about 4.7 secs.....

  • @ShinKtu quick car!

  • that's impressive... is it all stock?

  • Why is it difficult to launch?? RWD should dig in? Under 5sec anyway is a great achievement

  • wow that was fast

  • that was the best 370 launch i*ve seen so far on youtube. it was the first time i had the impression of a fast acceleration.

  • @Dainanashi

Thank you, that was the first nice comment i've received on youtube for this vid too!

actually the car is very hard to launch...not easy at all and not forgiving like many other cars are if you mess up. the acceleration is most evident when you're already rolling, 60-120 is fast, and the car feels powerful in all gears, you can troll up a hill in 6th around 40mph and still accelerate though very slowly...which is MUCH more than i can say for my 06 GT before i sold her...

  • @ShinKtu Im not trying to be a dick but why did you sell your GT for this? Is the 370Z actually good?

  • wtf do people hope to accomplish by starting arguments about youtube videos?

  • @adawg1245 Winning the special olympics.

  • THAT'S IT.... SHIN and NIGGUH.... ur grounded XD get in ur corner's >.<! lmao, sry i had too lol!

  • @ShinKtu

Let me get this straight, because of your grammar skills, I can assume you are a dumbass. Meaning that you didn't get far in school, so you do have a job, maybe a job at Burger King, and saved up what you had for a 370z to "try" to get a girl. But you failed to get a girl, so you decided to get an imaginary girlfriend. So you are a lonely piece of shit that argues with teens online, dates an imaginary girlfriend, and financing a Z to show off to girls with a BK job. Sounds pathetic.

  • @NigguhJason

because you won't just go away man, you keep typing paragraphs and paragraphs on a video that isnt yours.

  • @NigguhJason Look man this guy can give way a fuck less about your concerns. 2.People dont really give a fuck about what others have to say.3.Theres a reason why they put up this video.4.Grow up!People like you should really start thinking about it and stop waisting there time writing nd typeing random stuff on peoples account.5.The car seems amazing. Any way or another, i would be glad to have this car with any type of job,Burger King,Mc Donalds,Starbucks,Etc. as long as it gets the job done!

  • @ShinKtu

Actually, fuck that. You should go back to middle school. This is basic English, dip shit. You trying to insult me for making one typo, and the rest of my sentence is correct. I can't say the same for yours. Let me farther explain two. I'll let your wimpy ass stick around is 1 sentence. and I laugh at your pathetic attempts to find a purpose for your existence is 1 sentence. You can't put a "while" in the middle to join two sentences.

  • @NigguhJason

do you feel better now that you've officially written an essay about someone who hits the comma instead of a period on youtube? here's a similar piece of advice, get a girlfriend man =/

  • @c0nv1ct1337

For a Nissan fan boy, you're pretty damn fucking stupid, eh? I thought you fan boys should know a lot about your cars? The VQ is basically French, dipshit. The company, Renault, has engines labeled as the "V Engine" and this engine is the designation for Nissan's VQ engine, which basically makes it French. I think google is a powerful tool and you should start using it, because it will make you change your mind about posting idiotic comments.

  • @NigguhJason umm dont know what source you're pulling that from, but Renault uses the "V" designation for their engines to signify that the engine is a VQ series engine produced by Nissan in Japan, hell i suppose next you're gonna say that the lotus elise engine is a british engine and not one produced by toyota

  • @NigguhJason oh and as for the 4.7 sec pull to 60 go look up car and driver and motortrend reviews on here for the 370z and then go argue with them about it not being possible to reach 60 that fast in the 370z

  • @ShinKtu

And don't bother of replying to me to argue how your Z is a good D/D, because I'll ignore the post for its going to be retarded to claim a Z is a good D/D. The Z has 2 doors, no room, barely any trunk space, horrible MPG, not a comfortable ride, but its a sports car its not suppose to be a D/D. I'm just pointing it out, because some idiots (maybe you) think its an awesome D/D. It has the exact opposite of what a D/D has. Only thing the Z can do is perform, which is useless in reality.

  • I didn't even get a chance to flame you about you claiming your Z does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, which is not even possible unless you modded it slightly. Reviewers tested the 0-60 to be in the 5 second range. (5.1 seconds recorded by insideline). But hey, its your choice to buy this car, and frankly, enjoy your shitty cheap interior car that can't get good MPG, horrible space, and horrible D/D, which cost you nearly 40K. For 40K, I think I want some luxury, just saying.

  • @NigguhJason Most reviewers pin it at just under 5.

  • @NigguhJason

well, it's not my argument, like i said there is a lot of debate over which is "faster", and many people say that because it's a turbo car vs an n/a car...But as for price, i'm not too sure the evo is actually cheaper than the 370z....pretty sure a base evo is around 34k, base msrp of the 370z is under 30k....don't know about the sti..

  • you should really try launching at around 5500 or so gives you a better launch.....

  • @dlago12

I've tried but I get crazy wheel hop, do you have the same issue (if you own a 370z)? I'm thinking about buying some lower control arms to ease the wheel hop but as of now It seems to be crazy talk to launch it at 5500rpms without either really fluttering the clutch or spinning into another dimension.

  • @ShinKtu my bad dude i was just kidding about the launching at 5500 that asking to spin out lol I launch my z pretty easy 2500

  • @ShinKtu One good tip could be trying to launch frm 3000 RPM's through 3500 RPM's. That would give you a better launch, picking up the speed from 0-60 faster. just a Quik Tip(:

  • @soccerdreams23

hey, this is by no means an easy car to launch definitely the hardest of any car i've ever driven..I'm not complaining i know its not a drag car (like the mustang i sold for this)... but it does suffer from massive wheel hop if the revs are too high, and bogs pretty bad if the revs are too low...if the weather is cold, 4000 is way too high...i will try a few launches at 3300 and let you know how she goes!

  • 50% of this video you don't have traction

  • @banana12292

Now that I look at it, just about..

  • the evo x fq400 is only 0.8 seconds slower around the track than an audi r8

the standard 370z is faster around the track than both the standard evo and sti

all three cars looks are an opinion but all 3 have visually pleasing aspects

and im pretty sure the sti has the fastest 0-60

there are great things about all three cars , because they are all three great cars!!

cant we just love them all

  • @matt37075 I couldn't agree more. nice comment.

  • @jmcle884

You are clearly bias to Nissan. I read some of your comments. "Slap a turbo on the 370z" Everyone that's bias argue like that. Basically saying, I can turbo a car, but you say Turbo the 370z and it will be faster. Is it that simple? Your argument is bias. Why? If I buy a S2K on craigslist, and turbo it. It will cost a lot less than you buying a 370z and turbo it. Meaning I win the argument. You are talking about no budget. Your argument has no end. One can say Turbo a Lambo.

  • Fast. I like it.

  • つなぎへたくそ

  • z is better

  • Why don't you guys just watch Top Gear and see which one got around the track the quickest? There, problem solved! Now you don't have to waste all the time writing long replies back & forth.

  • I 'd rather have oversteer from a Z, than understeer with an STI coming in to corner.

  • is the car stock?

  • I'm confused as to why people are comparing a Naturally Aspirated (NA) v6 car to a turbo Evo / STi.

Turbo charge this and see what happens.

  • @VangelonPanos Im confused why we're comparing a 2 seater coupe to sedans.

  • @Sadfhorde

Because they're both still a sedan. Just because one has two doors and the other has 4 doesn't mean they're not a car?

But my point is that people are comparing a well-made, well-balanced v6 engine into an incredibly beautiful car (opinion) to turbo vehicles. I just think Nissan did something right here, and whether others agree or not, it's still a car that's made to host 2 passengers, enough boot space, and travel long distances without worrying that something is going to blow up

  • I own a 370Z and have driven Evo's around the track. Evo's are very easy to drive fast. The car pratically drives itself, you'll feel much more comfortable going fast in one. But the Z is a drivers car, if you're a good driver the gap in lap times will show your skill. That margin is less significant in an Evo. Both are good cars, it all depends on what you're looking for.

  • I wish my G37 did this...

  • @GNNMS07

Does calling me a retard make you feel any bigger? You retarded E-Thug.

  • @NigguhJason no shit it gets through it better u retard its awd. the 370z is rwd.

  • That was pretty freakin' quick. Does your car have the sport package with the larger wheel and tire package?

  • @Nigguh

Of course I'm bias I'm human and I own the car. When I say they're ugly, what I really mean is that if you take the red break calipers, the hood and the wing off those cars you'd never even be able to pick them out on the streets. IMO it's as if mitsu and subaru caught onto the "mod the civic" market. Call me bias but their only market appeal is speed and mod-ability. Honestly ive seen so few new STI's and Evo's I imagine theyre a huge improvement over the Sti's and Evo's I actually see!

  • @ShinKtu I think you are biased, because it has been proven taht the EVO X is faster around a track than a 370 via DSPORT Magazine, BUT I will agree that other than speed the STi/EVO have nothing else note-worthy. At the same time I think the 370Z is nothing pretty either, just has a bunch of random lines, and the roof looks unfinished and chopped off. Has smooth curves and hard angles all on the same car, and fangs?! All of the 3 are ugly, but if I had to choose, the 370Z.

  • Gentleman, there really is alot of differences between the EVO and the 370z, just by the body, 370z (Curb weight 1410-1490kg) is a coupe and EVOIX - Sedan. ( Curb weight 1170–1295kg) So basically 1490:1295 that's around 200kg difference? Which really counts as to weight to power laws. I really love my JDMs, and If I were to pick from the 2, I'd get both!

  • automatic or maual?

  • @DeeJay33133 automatic, paddle shifters

  • @jamrocKingz

    very nice!

  • 4,4

  • sweet car, them new z' are badass

  • @parabpbpbp

Apparently the people that actually use them cares. Why are you such a troll? Only trolls don't acknowledge the fact that all drive-trains got up/downs. While true enthusiasts realize that FWD, RWD, and AWD all got up/downs. So a typical retard like you won't understand. You are one of those trolls that believe RWD > all FWD. Yet if you watch Japan track races; you'll notice that a simple Civic Hatch can beat a lot of RWD cars.

  • @parabpbpbp

Well I hate to break it to ya, but touring cars such as A4, and TSX are FWD. What about that huh?

  • @NigguhJason well i hate to break it to ya but i did clearly say 95% of tarmac racing is rwd, so what u say is quite pointless but ill tell u what i think about that ne way. who fucking cares about FWD touring cars.

  • imagine a 370z AWD....

  • @pablodonate

probably wouldn't be too much faster, the z can already catch a good launch (though it's hard to get it perfect) it'd definitely benefit from a turbo/sc though!

  • @jabba12000

Looks is bias, and the Z can't have turbo lag, because it has no turbo? Why even bother bringing up turbo. From a roll the Z pulls harder? How? Explain. Quit being bias for the car. The AWD clearly helps the STI. I can already tell you're bias when you brought looks into the argument.

  • just because the evo and sti were rally bred cars doesn't mean they have the perfect handling, i believe the 370 z would have win in a race against either even though its rwd.

  • @ShinKtu

Current generation STi is faster 0-60 & 1/4, has AWD which provides better corner speed, and AWD to provide good off the line because of grip. Now we put them in a race around the tracks. (Excluding driver skills). STi vs 370z. AWD will help the STi get off the line. STi takes lead. STi has a better straight time than the 370z, which concludes STi leads more. STi has AWD for corners better grip/corner speed = 370z can't pass. Results STI wins by logical thinking of specs.

  • @NigguhJason

The 370z pulled .99 on the skidpad which is better than sti . Also from a roll the Z pulls harder and has no turbo lag. You need to rethink your logic if you believe the sti is a better car. Not to mention how ugly it is.

  • @NigguhJason RWD is better on tarmac in the long run, its lighter. the evo and sti were made for RALLY which awd is needed. why do u think f1 cars, drag cars, nascars, touring cars, le man, indy, yeah about 95% of tarmac racing is done in rwd.

  • @NigguhJason Specs dont mean shit compared to real world driving. On paper a mustang GT should kill my 3.5 Nissan Altima, it does not. A new 2011 Mustang V6 with 305 Hp should kill my 270HP Altima as well, again far from it. Specs can give you a general idea but in the end they really don't mean shit a lot of the time. You have to factor a lot more than AWD vs RWD. You have to factor tires, transmission, suspension etc. What it boils down to is which car puts the power down better.

  • @ShinKtu

Also I like to say around a track the STi or EVO would do better than the Z. The AWD provides more grip around the corners so the STi or EVO has higher chances of maintaining good cornering speeds. While the RWD 370z will lack grip around the corners. Lack as in compared to STi/EVO. To prove to you where I'm going with this read the following. Again, I'm not even trying to flame. I'm stating my facts to you, because I feel you're being bias to defend your car.

  • @NigguhJason

Sorry for the late reply...But there are a few problems with your argument...Firstly, i'd imagine the length of the straight would play a clear roll in which car approaches the corners first. I've raced sti's (not an evo yet) and off the line, the stock sti get's a jump (if they dump their clutch) but it's quickly overtaken by throttle. AWD provides traction around the corners, but I wouldn't venture to say that turning ability is AWD's 1st or 2nd priority.

  • junk

  • Junk

  • where the hell are you getting the money for all your cars?

  • just wondering didnt the r34 pull a .88 on the skid?? lol

  • Comment removed

  • Nice comment but I think we both know that STi's and EVO's are only fast off the line. And very ugly. Glad you're of the same intelligence as almost every other punk STI owner. What's next, gonna tell me how big your turbo is? Pussy!

  • No.....Evo's a pretty damn fast on top end too. Far quicker than 370Z's....especially since its easy as hell to mod an EVO but takes a lot more effort and money to get any real power out of a 370Z.

  • @colindyvig lol are you kidding me. The 370z can make more horsepower in the end. Your talking about a 3.7 V6 engine vs a 2.0 4 cyclinder turbo. Smack a turbo on he 370z, bye bye evo. A bigger displacement engine always has more room to make more horsepower than a smaller one.

  • @jmcle884 That may be true, but I didn't specifically say and EVO had more potential for horsepower now did I?

It's ok, reading comprehension is tough for some. I simply said it's much cheaper and easier initially to make horsepower from an EVO that a 370Z.

This is due mostly to the fact that an EVO X for example can reliably make 600 whp with bolt ons and tuning on the stock bottom end while a 370Z would need to be completely rebuilt to safely make the same power.

    Ahem....and so on....ROFL.

  • @colindyvig My reading comprehension is fine, I was making a point since you seem to think the EVO is quicker than a 370z.

  • @jmcle884 ....Obviously it is NOT fine.

At no point did I say an EVO is quicker either. I simply said that it is much easier to make one FASTER with a reasonable amount of money.

  • @colindyvig Evo's a pretty damn fast on top end too. Far quicker than 370z. This is what you said, so you are saying EVO is quicker lol noob.

  • @ShinKtu Nice car, but don't be so ignorant. Looks are subjective.

  • I don't think evo's and sti's are only fast off the line but they would destroy the 370z around the track and they have 50 horsepower less than the Z.

  • @Barracho07

Hey, what are your sources? So far as I know, the 370z, even though it's 2wd, pulls a .99 on the skid pad, which is considerably higher than the sti and the evo, including older models....which is a hint that the 370z is a better track car.

  • @ShinKtu LOL at some bench racing fool who thinks that skidpad numbers mean anything in the real world.

  • @ShinKtu Best motoring, Z never really competes with NSX, Skylines, Evos, or Sti's, slower lap times around the track. I dont care how much skid pad u pull. doesn't mean ur gonna win on a track.

  • @ShinKtu Agreed. 50 more horsepower in this case is a huge difference. I dont know the weight of either cars, but i doubt its enough to negate that HP difference.

  • @ShinKtu hey that might be too fair and unbiased for you to ask of an assclown who has been lied to that mayahatsus are actually quality cars. Yet Nissan is the only maker who has had their VQ engine on the top ten list (Wards) for fourteen years in a row. What about the popular transmission breakdown trend of mayahatsus? Hell my 1975 280Z has 300,000 miles on original engine, transmission (manual), and all the other major components.

  • @ShinKtu skid pad is a number for bench racers and rarely has much of a correlation to actual performance.

  • @ShinKtu thats probably why the evo was the track car of the year of 2009

  • @Darklol6031

I dont get it whats probably why? the evo was the track car?...

  • @Barracho07 the Z already beat both stock vs stock. And youd have to mod the evo/sti decently for it to keep up with the Z from a 40mph roll due to the awd powertrain loss and weight. The Z is a good car for the money but its not practical at all like the evo and sti. 2 completely different cars and so far from what i have seen, MY 370z can beat a lightly modded Evo IX (my friends) no problem but mine isnt stock either.

  • @Barracho07 Best Motoring, They never compete with NSX, Skyline, Evos, or Stis around the track due to their slower lap times, I don't care how much u pull on the skidpad, doesn't mean ur fast around the track. Skyline GTR R34 only pulls what 0.89 on the skid pad, but yet fast around the track. I see your Z run with S2000 and Porsche S around the track, this is stock for stock.

  • @Barracho07 Too bad you don't own an Evo, STI, or Z.

    Back to bench racing kiddo.

  • @Barracho07 The 370z smokes them i showed my friends evo whats up still havn't found an sti new or old to race though

  • @ShinKtu next time try and make a credible argument(seems youre no better than the so called "punk" STi owners). as far as looks go, preference and opinion are all that matters.

  • P.S. just because I don't get alot of chances to talk to cocky STI owners

    /watch?v=Txz641eXW9o&feature=related

5-60mph - 5.6 sec is better than 5-60mph 6.5 seconds...gee thats almost a full second. I can get my car from 0-60 as fast as you can with 2 less wheels, so if you want to continue winning races don't race 370z's:(

  • he's just a jealous fanboy

  • very, very quick

  • renault have something with nissan,i dont know if nissan is from renault now,but here in brazil, they r made togheter

  • 300zx had 270 hp not 300 and to the wheels was more like 210.. still a great car for the early 90's

  • @fuckusername2000

I'd take that car in yellow. Probably the only color i'd prefer it in.

  • can anyone tell me the average life expectancy of a 94 accord clutch?....mine lasted about 135,000 on the original clutch?...is that good bad or average?

  • @coandcaiv

Usually the life of the clutch depends on the driver. Whether the driver is new at manual, whether he rev matches or not, or plays with the clutch too much while taking off or backing up. 90,000 is a general given average for how long clutches should last before they begin to lose their edge and slip..A beginner could wear a clutch so that it will only last 30-50,000 however. I've seen it happen numerous times among friends.

  • that's pretty decent, I have a stock 86' 300zx with 236k original clutch and transmission

  • lol damn

  • @raxes32 wow. but have u thrashed it good?

  • @parabpbpbp no I don't redline or dump clutch,it's still running good looks nice, just did valve covers this week, although it has rust in the rear like most of the z31's do

  • Happy New Year

  • wanna race?

  • @XxriflexpertxX

you don't even have a car or any videos of a car listed on your profile... what exactly would he race?

  • @03basesedan hahahah. 01 mustang. :) just because i have no videos of a car on my profile doesnt mean i dont have a car. im sorry, i didnt know it was a fucking requirement that you post a video of your car once you buy it. my apologies you prick

  • @XxriflexpertxX

it is. i'm sorry you didn't get the memo about the requirement.

  • haha ur fucking hilarious I love it!

  • @XxriflexpertxX

I was looking at buying a 2003 saleen in black before i bought the 370 but it turns out that they stopped warranties on all saleen mustang products and vehicles.

  • @ShinKtu well, a 370 is a great car man. gotta love the tone of the exhaust. I would go for the 370 in that circumstance as well

  • things like what?

  • @stylin60es

The majority of the stress that is put on a manual car when you "launch" it is the clutch, which is a wear&tear item meaning it has a life span and eventually must be replaced. Most factory vehicles will not suffer other damages due to launching unless the vehicle has power adders and/or the tires are too sticky. When this happens the clutch cannot withstand the conflicting forces of the engine to turn the wheels and the next weakest link in the drive train may actually break.

  • @MarshallTK

Thanks for the advice. You also need to send that advice over to the awd section where people clutch dump lancers and STI's...

  • No thanks, Your the lucky one. :P

I didnt mean it in a rude way, it was just mho.

  • besides, it's more fun to seem like you're losing and then whoop ass starting in 2nd gear XD

  • This isn't some domestic POS.

  • 350Z was designed in and for the United States.

Indian man designed it. Made in California (or designed IDK).

Motor is however a Japanese masterpiece! I love the 350z!

  • actually the motor isnt japanese..its french out of a peugeot 206.

  • Not sure but I only know from Wikipedia.

    en[dot]wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine#VQ35DE

  • Pretty sure it's a Japanese motor in a French car.

  • french engine, japanese car

  • You're retarded. Nissan VQ engines are not french.

  • its not a french engine but it is made in france, as well as other parts of the car, dont ask me why, i dont know

  • lol i loved your comment

  • France and Japan did well then!

  • you've been watching too much top gear, try doing some research before making dumbass comments.

  • nvr heard of a 3.5 206:S

  • yea thats cause i was wrong. i went and looked it up and its from a renault.

  • @550HPGTO

The vq engine was designed by Nissan in the early 90's and has been on wards top 10 best engines list for something like 14 years. It was used in some renaults but as far as being made by renault, not true. People just heard Jeremy Clarkson say that on top gear and now everything thinks it isn't made by nissan.

  • @unknownally

Um, the VQ35 is a piece of shit?

It sounds like ass and breaks under 400 whp.

  • I think it sounds great, but not sure about reliability.

  • haha you don't know how to built an engine if it's breaking out under 400whp

  • It was designed by a Filipino guy not Indian. His name is Randy Rodriguez. Also this is the 370z not the 350z.

  • lol Filipinos can't design cars.

It's designed by Ajay Panchal in San Diego, CA.

  • Nope, Ajay Panchal designed the 350z, Randy Rodriguez designed the 370z.

  • Okay I thought we were talking about the 350z. Well anyways I think the 370z is better.

  • nice wheel hop

  • nice response video...

    this is a better 0-60 vid =)

  • Thanks, I didn't want the other video to remain the stable video of the z's 0-60 performance...

  • do you have an intake or exhaust installed?

  • running without the muffler unit attached. makes the perfect sound, no additional power though...i'm looking to purchase the stillen ultra long tube intakes...pretty pricey though.

  • @ScrayXXI launch control is the same thing right

  • no it's not

  • Lol. I can just tell your dumb. LOL!

  • 1...Doesn't a "neutral drop" refer to automatic transmissions? did you even view the video correctly enough to confirm that i even dumped the clutch at all?

  • 2..What is your opinion on when my car will no longer constitute as "brand new"? Will it rely on when something better and newer comes out man? Or maybe something plausible* like completing the break-in miles? Really, because if you didn't the notice the mileage, OR the wheel spin (tranny didnt take the force of the launch) OR the fact it's a manual, or that your opinion on how "new" my car is is bullshit, or how the revmatch feature has nothing to do with any of this, then you.are.the.idiot.:/
