The song has a really menacing feeling, and the lyrics are extremely creepy and dark if you care to read them properly. Denying the true story of the song was definitely a good move back then.

@houk15, I saw them live in early 1980 just before Bon Scott died. They were promoting the Highway to hell albulm. They were playing in a College Basketball Gym. The show was the best concert I have ever seen, I was lucky enough to see Night Prowler Live. Needless to say I lost my hearing for about 5 days.. It was well worth it.
Bon Scott was amazing? Well of course he is, he didn't get to first place in rolling stones magazine for best front man for nothing :)

@houk15, I saw them live in early 1980 just before Bon Scott died. They were promoting the Highway to hell albulm. They were playing in a College Basketball Gym. The show was the best concert I have ever seen, I was lucky enough to see Night Prowler Live. Needless to say I lost my hearing for about 5 days.. It was well worth it.
