It was either crash or get fired. I'm not saying that Piquet is innocent, he should have opposed this idea right from the start and avoid posing such a safety hazard to himself and other drivers, but I think the blame should be far more toward Symonds and Briatore than Mr. Piquet. The FIA penalty is sufficient.

involvement in FIA-sanctioned motorsport, Briatore indefinitely and

Symonds for the next five years. Piquet, who was dropp...ed by Renault in

Ferrari should have been more secure with there documents. If there is a tech leak of coarse other teams will seek it. They almost have a right to.

But Renault makes me sick 4 the sport. Ban every person in the team.

Renault already accepted allegations of fixing the race. Bria and Pat left Renault F1 team. Will Renault race in the 2009 singapore night race in Sept? If yes, how they will plan for the race without these two? No need them, get trustworthy leaders. Alonso victory last year served on dinner plate. Massa must be cursing if not for the safety car which led to his botched pit stop, he would be WDC "08.

before all this renault shit, i only thought of piquet as a handicapped person who cant drive for shit. he got fired, and now look what hes doing. pure shithead. i honestly cannot believe he is doing this to his team. I think its safe to say Piquet's career in F1 is officially over. . .doubtful anyone in any other catagory of motorsport would hire him. He's damaged goods now. He'd be *DAMN* lucky to get a drive in his native Brazil.

I can't believe the FIA let him walk though. . .that's bullshit. He's just as guilty as Flavio.

i would say the guy who was giving ferrari documents to mclaren destroyed the 07 season for mclaren and both alonso and hamilton were 1 point, each, off the WDC... not bad for the few minor incidents that occured between the two...

Alonso wouldnt have requested the team to do this and he may aswell follow briatore's instructions because it would be VERY suspicious if renault said "Fernando pit now" and he waited 3 or 4 laps... Its Briatore's and Piquets fault.

This crash was done on purpose, renault's boss told him which corner to crash at and at what time. This meant that Alonso's car could be light on fuel and pit on the lap before nelson crashed, which, indeed, he did. This corner was chosen because it's the hardest corner to retreive a car at, so the safety car would be deployed, giving Alonso a chance to catch up with the rest of the pack, helping him to win the race.

Nelson only agreed to this becayse his job was at risk.

IF the win is so dependent on Piquet Jr's crash, which does look very clumsy on his part, why is he in a hurry to disclose it and why not let ALONSO himself now try to do it without his help that he claims??

Why prevent FERNANDO from coming to Singapore? why must he not want F ALONSO to come? Let ALONSO show if he can do it without u, then u will be right.
