And to prove my point, just look at K2 Spice. They once had it legalized when it's primary purpose was to simulate the effects of marijuana while very harmful. Then on the medicinal side of this amazing herb, they tried to simulate that by synthesizing the chemical which is to credit for all these effects - THC, giving it's synthetic-version's name, Marinol. The only downside to Marinol is the long-range of side-effects to go along with it.

Well, because unlike synthesized-versions of this plant, they cannot patent it. The reason they cannot patent the plant is because it is natural, you cannot place a patent on nature. And due to the reason they cannot patent it, if marijuana was used as a mainstream-treatment to these ailments, many businesses would sell it, decreasing it's value along with any profits.

And these are just the things that they are admitting that she took. When the government bans a substance like synthetic marijuana you go from knowing whats in the bag to NOT knowing whats in the bag and therein lies the danger of too much government intervention! Who knows what she was really on?
If she smoked that synthetic marijuana stuff, she deserved what she got. She could have afforded the best weed or hash available. Poor, desperate stoners in heavily-criminalized states smoke that shit, she doesn't have to; it's hard to feel sorry for her.
