@EdwardBaker94 The XLC should be connected to your TV headset jack, so the volume is controlled by your TV volume.

@EdwardBaker94 If you have it plugged in with the RCA adapter, the TV volume won't do anything. That's because you've connected it directly to the XBOX output and not the TV headphone jack.
