I got a 67 camaro out of the junkyard that was stripped for $600 and put a vtec 22r into it and fiberglass everything, and now have frankincar that is reliable, decent gas mileage, 4w disc. brakes, and looks cool!

stopped counting at $25K, but that includes the car, motor, paint, etc....just plan on spending at least $10K more than you budgeted for...worth every penny though!

I cant understand why people dont fit the Daihatsu GTti CB80 3 cylinder 1 litre turbo, 100bhp stock and 180bhp is easy without any engine mods.

why dont you just order a kit from the uk. a few companies do them. give you every thing apart from engine. its a commen conversion here now. still really good though, however if you want a real animal of a mini go for the vauxhall redtop engine. thats a beast.

which one?if you remember the engine code it would help, still think the 1.6L vtec engine is a good choise though

the red top its a c20xe. its a old vauxhall engine but very strong and very powerful. or if you want to be a brave man you can go for a c20let which is a turbo version. the gear box is 4wd but you can put a normal c20xe box on it or get a conversion kit to get rid of the 4wd. one good thing is the turbo box is 6speed

i hear that with the turbo engine you can get it to 300hp with stock internals by just reprograming the ecu. i would love to see an inside camera of you trying to handle that mini with full throttle..that would be a very funny thing dont you think mate?lol.

well its supposed to kick out 205bhp as standard. bloke who took pictures of my mini for a magazine has a mini with a metro turbo engine which is running 300bhp at wheels with nitros. so you can get that power out of a 1330 if you want. but its a ANIMAL
