@bonessasan He seems to really perk up with "Tom and Jerry" and "Scooby doo." Once my old bird said "scooby doooo!" once but never said it again. It was so cool. This bird Pepe really loved the "Home for imaginary friends- with Blue Regard" when it used to be on TV. He'd freak out and whistle the tune when it started. It was soooo cute :)

@mlrcoxnet Now, whenever I see that Tom & Jerry is going to be on, I can hear a little bird in my head screaming "Imma getchoo!" It's very fitting since Tom and Jerry are always chasing each other around. I'm not exactly a kid, but I enjoyed Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, too. It had some awesome humor in it. lol I really like quakers. My tiel mostly just shrieks like a wild thing. She does it when the progressive car insurance commercials come on. Which is like every other commercial. Shes a cutie tho. Id give her a kiss but shes sleepin.

Pound for pound quakers must be one of the most territorial and silliest creatures on the planet! So happy you enjoyed it. Lately he has been saying "bless you" when someone sneezes & "hey!" if I open the door to yell at the dogs for barking. crazy!

Oh yeah! he like to scream that when we are upstairs and freaks out if anyone he doesn't recognize parks in front of the house. if he hears the floor squeaking upstairs and one of us in not down with him, he sqwaks and squaks. I can't belive that such little birds have such powerful lungs!

Yesterday Pepe said, "I'm Pepe" i've never said "I'm" to him aceept telling him, "I'm gonna get you." then sneaking over to him. I say "Hi, Pepe." I think birds are just so smart!

Thank you so much. He is quite the character. We received one of those robot vacums as a gift, that is on it's last leg. Today he was trying to duplicate every broken sound it makes. Bumping & crossing tiles, making the electronic beeps, and the digital "ut oh" sound it makes when it gets hung up. funny. He did try to bite me today though when I stuck my finger in his bird cozy. He is very territorial and sounds off like an alarm when any car he doesn't recognize parks in front of the house.

There is a setting on your camcorder, so that it will stabilize the image better...and not be so shaky... just thought i'd mention it, cuz i had to look away a few times to keep from getting dizzy LOL (had it on full screen).

heheh, aren't they the funniest? You should post a video! Sometimes Pepe mumbles to you, trying to talk, and I have no idea whatin the world he is trying to say. He whispers, "You're silly." Sometimes his whispering is a lil creepy, esp. when he whispers "I'm gonna get you"

I have 2 quakers, and the one ive had the longest, Louie, hes 13 now, he said OH MY GOD, You old fart, whatcha doin, huh? <--thats by far my fav!! when the phone rings, he says hello.. When you take a drink, he will say, I want some!.. so yeah, whatever you teach them, they can say.. My other quaker was in an abusive home, he talks, but not alot.. but we're working on him :)

I happy you enjoyed the video and he is a year old this June. I taught him that becuse I used to run up to my old parrot Jonah and do a little hand thing and say "I'm gonna get you!" he also says, "You're silly", "brahaaa, ha ha ha", and, "Whatchadoin?" and unfortunately has learned to whisper one bad word :)

It is strange because he has never had his wings clipped since we got him as a baby. he can not fly but can break his fall a little if he jusmps off of his cage. He rides on our shoulder, takes showers and hangs out ont op of his cage and door, and steals food sometimes when he runs on top of the couch. He started talking when h was about six or seven months old, mostly meowing like a cat and making the sound of the house alarm being set.
