I did this song at karaoke when I stayed in Barbados at the Time Out At The Gap Hotel. When I asked the DJ whether he had this song, he said he had a song called O Beautiful Barbados. I gave him my travelling CD and told him to play track 7 and sang to it. I don't think anyone in the pub had heard this song before. It was such a special moment. Pity the Kiwis were thrashing the Windies while I was at the pub. Shame on you JAFAS.

I saw The Models back in 85. One of the best gigs I've been to. Him and Sean Kelly had the same kind of magic as Lennon and McCartney. I think this is one of the best songs ever. And now it's one of the saddest. I guess at least now he'll never have to wake up now to the anger. And if there is a heaven hopefully he has finally found his Barbados.

Ah! I remember well the downstairs floor at Bombay where the upcoming bands were trialled. The blond, with short cropped hair from the Radio Stars ambled over and linked his arm through mine - champagne glass firmly attached and broke the loneliness. Nothing was said for the longest time.
