My brother became some kind of Christian and listened to this Kieth Green guy. I told my brother he was stupid and that singer guy sucked. I was into my Rock at 16 in 86. When my brother would leave home I would go into his room and listen to this guy. Something left me coming back although I thought the music stunk. Months later I gave my life to the Lord and soon would follow after Kieth Green and his music. What a man....but more then that what a servant. Thanks...This song killed me!

I go to a christian youth camp for 16-25 year olds and we sing this at the beginning of every camp and at the end and it always touches me. I constantly question my faith but know I would be nowhere without god. I will always believe.
i love keith greens music. he put a lot of heart into it, and it feels great and inspiring. I can remember most his songs word for word and still love them to this day. But the fact of the matter is that christianity is not true, and will lead to self destruction. Took me till the age of 34 to realise this, dont make the same mistake.

i missed the bit about "You anoint my head with oil, etc." - what are we teaching our 16-25's , not the whole scripture ??? Psalms are measnt to be sung - go to my psalm 23

I´m so sorry, I only wanted to say "Yea" and was singing by the way, and also I pushed the wrong button,..I´m so sorry!-I´m thinking like you,...and for Meldoy it has been so so hard,....I´m a mother of 3 girls and sometimes I think, i´m not strong enough in my,...believe in God,...because I know, I would break, if something like that would happen. My brother became some kind of Christian and listened to this Kieth Green guy. I told my brother he was stupid and that singer guy sucked. I was into my Rock at 16 in 86. When my brother would leave home I would go into his room and listen to this guy. Something left me coming back although I thought the music stunk. Months later I gave my life to the Lord and soon would follow after Kieth Green and his music. What a man....but more then that what a servant. Thanks...This song killed me!

I go to a christian youth camp for 16-25 year olds and we sing this at the beginning of every camp and at the end and it always touches me. I constantly question my faith but know I would be nowhere without god. I will always believe.

i love keith greens music. he put a lot of heart into it, and it feels great and inspiring. I can remember most his songs word for word and still love them to this day. But the fact of the matter is that christianity is not true, and will lead to self destruction. Took me till the age of 34 to realise this, dont make the same mistake.

I did "The Prodigal Son in period dress in 1995ish. The SONG won a Standing Ovation. It was my most humble witness ever. Very blessed man and songwriter. So sad He was lost to Us, but eternally happy for Him that he went home in 1982. (I missed him @ the church I had attended during a weak time a few months after I began attending. SADDDD!

I love this song. my Uncle sang this at my Grandma's funeral. 23rd Psalms was her favorite scripture. She recited this on the day she was baptised. I am regretful that I didn't witness it. Thank you for posting this song.
