This is the 1993 ROM port. It's slightly different. It includes the option for an Easy mode or Normal Mode.

and second of all i think there's also some neat graphical details that the graphic programmers of konami removed in the american version like for example if you look closely at the intro at 00:10 which simon goes through the gate at dracula's castlevania you can see two bats flying alround in the night sky why the heck did konami removed that kind of graphical detail in the american release of castlevania

i think to me the akumajou dracula the japanese version of castlevania is way better then the american version of castlevania mainly because of two things first of all the japanese version has mutiple diffeculty settings so playing the game on easy mode is alot more fun and and forgiving then the american release when konami for no good reason removed the multiple diffeculty settings in the american version

Wow! This player defeated Death and Dracula quickly. Damn, he make the battle with them both look easy. Very good longplay!

Just for fun: Akumajou Dracula is translated to Demon Castle Dracula.
