The level is less but the cellphone emits RF EMR when you use it to talk. Smart phones emit RF EMR few seconds every minute even in standby mode. WIFI router emit RF EMR all the time.So the levels might be lower, but the emission time is all day long.
In one of my newer videos I do that. But the levels that are measured in the metere are lower then in reality since the WIFI signal has several channels and the meter can measure one one.
the danger from modern flat screens comes from the UV colored light radiation.. cause premature wrinkling and hair thinning, cant block it with regular filters
you need to use a black and white/grey scale monitor with a UV filter, get one at lowbluelights com. thats the best you can do if you can deal with colorless display
AND DONT USE WIRELESS BECAUSE RADIO WAVES CAUSE CANCER DONT BELIEVE THE INDUSTRY FUNDED "RESEARCH"
20 feet away is abot 7 meters, rigth? well this is far enouth for most of the radiation not to reach you, but I am guessing you are very close to your wireless PC/Laptop right?
If you were an EHS you would feel the router from that distence, but for a none EHS person 7 meters is not that bed.
I think that before getting cancer you will start to feel tired and will have some headaches.
Ionizing radiation is what causes cancer and other heath effects. It turns out that 80-85% of ionizing radiation we receive is from the natural environment, so if you are really concerned, you might want to start eliminating natural radiation. Better yet, stop driving or eating all fast food because you a far more likely to die an early from those than from all kinds of radiation.
Microwave radiation (wi-fi, cell and cordless phones) is non-ionizing, which means it does not damage atoms.
I ran out of characters in the last one so I might just add that when going outside I ware protection closing and that lots of EHS people have to take this steps to feel better. I know it might be hard to believe but this is a reality for us.
Ionizing radiation is not something I can protect my self from.
Electromagnetic Radiation makes me feel bad after a short while (few minutes to seconds) , so I try to limit my exposure and to educate others.
I'd say that is likely that we evolved to deal with natural radiation vs man made rad. The man-made radiation (radio waves of any length) are everywhere, and while there is no proof that they cause cancer (would the industry even allow for such findings if it did?), sitting next to a wifi router or any other active transmitter cannot be completely harmless. You would not feel comfortable sitting next to a commercial grade (i.e. your local radio station) transmitter, would you?
I don't understand the wi-fi fear mongering. Do you people avoid going outside because of UV radiation? Do you avoid all heat sources because of infrared radiation? Do you refuse all medical x-rays? Do you live in a isolated place where radio wave radiation can't reach? You might also want to avoid electricity all together since the wiring in your house gives off EMFs. You should also avoid air travel because you are less shielded against cosmic rays.
I can only talk for myself. I try to limit my exposure to UV since it gives me a headache, I try to limit my X-rays to as little as possible (none for the past 5 years), I leave in a house were there are very low levels or EMR both RF and ELF and I use protection when I go outside. In my house wiring there are some protection aids and filters on the electric wiring. We do use electricity but we unplug all the appliances when not in use. No Wireless !
@NoRadBlog No offense, but do you have some rare disease or something? Very very few people can report your symptoms. It might just be all in your head. I probably get exposed to more EMRs than a few people because of how often I am around wireless (like my whole school having wifi all around and I'll turn on my phone's 3G mobile hotspot sometimes just for the lolz)
I feel great. I feel headaches and feel ill when I don't have a computer, phone, or a data connection, or the internet lol
What I have is called EHS (Electromagnetic Hyper Sensitivity) and about 10% of the population has it, only 3% know they do. Some people will develop this condition after years of exposure, some immediately and some never.
I hope you guys realize that we are the "test generation" when it comes to this shit. 40 years from now we might be looked at the same way that classical age royalty is looked at now. We know now that they were damn fools coating themselves in lead paint---then dying from lead poisoning. Same exact situation.
Light is also a form of EMR but in a different frequency. The human body was evolved, over the years, to survive and to depend on exposure to light. The human body was not evolved to coexist with RF 2.4 Ghz WiFi/microwave/Cellphone EMR signal.
I suppose you're right. Who knows what long term exposure to high-frequency EMR is going to do to us :( It's too late to go back though! It's everywhere.
It is not too late, you can still control your exposure to EMR from devices you have control on. One simple thing that everyone can do is simply use a the wired option when possible.
I think there is a lot of scientific prof that this radiation cause health effects. I myself is an EHS person and it makes me sick. The problem is that it is not a consensus yet so you can believe what you like.
I guess some people will not understand the risk and will not believe the prof even when it will hit them in the head.
the problem is when i'm at work, i can't tell my boss to use regular internet when she prefers wi-fi, and i'm sitting next to it 8 hours a day =\ i swear my head hurts and i get noxious every time i get to the office.
at home i always turn it off when i don't use it, and i don't use it much.
At my work, some people uses WI-Fi because it is the easy thing to do when you move between meetings and rooms all the day. Some of them even try to use the WIFI for downloading >2GB files from one work station to their laptop and back, and they are radiating them selves and me by doing that.
At work I tried shielding 2 of the walls at my office and I ware a protection hat.
@NoRadBlog 802.11n has been the new standard for the past 3 years now, I'm sure. Even my phone supports it.
802.11g supports more traffic than b because of a hardware design. To be 802.11g compatible, you have to support (I think 54) computers. This is done from the router itself, its called backhaul.
based on this video I assume that it is only critical amount next to the antenna within 10-20 cm radius, right? In some routers you can turn off the WIFI signal using a small button on the back of the router or via the web GUI.

Will a IEEE 802.11n wifi router much more dangerous than a IEEE 802.11g one? Try to do one more clip?
