It also sounds like an original Audi Quattro. This engine will not be very far away from being half a Lambo V10 engine (ie an inline 5 cylinder) apart from being aided by a turbo.
It does, but there is no way they can fit a V10 into a TT. Another possibility could be how they had one engine in the front and one in the back before with the MTM Audi TT...that would be madness if Audi released that themselves from and as the manufacturer...
that is true mate, there is no way a v10 can fit in a TT. it could have 2 engines yes, but i highly doubt that audi these days would release such a beast. They might make a special edition later that does have 2 engines but i read somewhere that the TT RS will have a V6 Supercharged (i think). The MTM TT previously was NUTS! =)

Veyron is actually closer to a pair of (Passat)W8 engines merged together.
This TT will not be a 2.6 (R8 v10 will be a 5.2)
In actuallity this engine will have more in common with the latest 1.8 & 2.0 T(f)si engines. (with an extra cylinder)
